Subject: Recommendations for PS4 Games. Update 6/22: 2 player games?

[youtube]Got a free PS4 this week.
Any suggestions for RPGs that I should check out? I ordered Cyberpunk and it should be here soon.
I'm a solo casual gamer and not someone to chase the latest coolness. I've been playing almost nothing but older games on Steam Deck for years now and am in no way unsatisfied.
My favorite games are mostly -but not all- Open World RPGs.
Skyrim
Fallout New Vegas and 4
American and Euro Truck Simulator
KOTOR
Final Fantasy 12
Avernum series
Any suggestions for me? Mostly interested in single player RPGS, but I'm open to others.

If you like older rpgs the Suikoden I+II HD Remastered and the Lunar Remastered Collection are both very good.

Some of the top RPG's I've played in the PS4 are:
Persona 5 Royal
Persona 3 Reload
The Witcher 3 (You don't need to know/have played the first 2 games to fully enjoy this, 100% get the complete edition to get the DLC, it's really worth it).
Divinity 2, Original Sin
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Wasteland 3
I might have a few more I can share since these are the ones I can rap off of the top of my head, but happy to dig more into them if you have any questions.

Star Ocean First Departure R is good, there are a few star ocean games. But they all so different even if they follow a formula.
Indivisible is fun if you want something a bit different, almost action game. It’s similar to Valkyrie profile Lenneth which is really good as well.
Horizon: Zero Dawn was mentioned.
No no Kuni, is very unique with its art and setting.
Persona games, as well as the Shin Megami tensei games have a great feel to them. Soul hackers is a dungeon crawler but related to persona like Shona Megami tensei is.
Disgaea I think are all on PS4 except the latest one if you like tactics games.
Fantasy life I just come out, it’s fantastic but it does have online co-op.
The Atelier games are very cozy if you like crafting, the series is a RPG where you make the most of your own equipment. There is a bunch on the PS4.
Cross code is very good, but it’s like jumping into the ocean and learning to swim.
Vampyr if you want a gothic style vampire RPG, it’s on sale now it looks like also.
Deus Ex mankind divided is good, worth playing through.
Mana series, there is a few on the ps4.
Rune factory 4 and 5, they more fantasy farming sims.
Pathfinder kingmaker is a CRPG but is on there.
Blue Reflection second Light is very good, but it’s a fairly niche RPG.
Have you play dragon quest games? There is lots. They are good!
Fate samurai lament is niche but very interesting.
Fuga Melodies of steel 1-3 are worth a look.
These are some RPGs I liked on the ps4, and it really depends on what your interested in.
But there is actually close to 900, so a list a few that maybe are further away from the style your playing normally. Some are available on steam as well.

Sorry for the late check in. Just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions. I've been looking into them one by one and I think I've found a few that might meet my preferences.
Much Appreciated!

Witcher 3 GOTY and Divinity 2 are a must, IMO. These two alone will give you more than 300 hours of totally different but top quality gameplay.
I also recommend playing Divinity 2 in split-screen co-op, incredible experience, the closest one to an actual TT RPG in a video game (my wife and me, we finished this game like this twice)

So I looked into many of these and then wandered into a used game shop. Picked up Witcher 3 for 8 bucks and have been having a heck of a good time. Will probably revisit your suggestions at some point but between Witcher and Cyberpunk my single player RPG needs met at this time
Now then.....
Any suggestions for 2 player games? Same TV, split or same view. Something to play with my wife or kids. Maybe a light RPG or something?

Split Fiction is an excellent co-op game.
TMNT Shredders Revenge is a fun beat em up for up to four players Streets of Rage 4 is also good if you want a different aesthetic and a bit more technique involved.
If you like old school Contra games Iron Meat is a great two player run and gun.

Split Fiction isn't on the PS4 sadly, but I would 100% recommend its predecessor, "It Takes Two".

Once again - Divinity The Original Sin 2. Incredible, magical split screen experience, and excellent game in its own right.

Some people have mentioned a few of the games I would have suggested already. The other one I would suggest if you like beat em ups
Overcooked 1 or 2, great party game that's simple but gets crazy with family/kids.
Moving Out 1 or 2, similar concept to above, but you're a moving company instead of being chefs.
River City Girls 1 and 2, a good beat em up with level progression and cool art style.
A Way Out is also a good coop game to play, same people who made It Takes Two and Split Fiction
Towerfall Ascension, its a really fun 8 bit archer game where it can get really intense in matches where you fight each other. There's also a coop mode where you go through multiple stages before fighting a boss.
Spelunky 1 & 2 if you like platforming rogue like games
Ultimate Chicken Horse if you like platforming party games where you try to get to the end of a map while setting traps for your opponents.
Dead Nation or AlienNation if you want to do a run and gun top down shooter against either zombies or aliens.

Apart from the above (I also recommend Overcooked, Streets of Rage 4 and Towerfall) I will add The Ascent and Skyforce/ Skyforce Reloaded. Quite different, both very fun and well liked by both me amd my wife.
A different experience is offered by the Dark Pictures Anthology games. While only one person plays at a time, these games have a well implemented hot seat mode and they are best played as a two-player experience.
And tbh so many of PS games are very cinematic (big screens help) and lend themselves very well to two people switching between playing and watching. With my wife we have finished plenty of theoretically one player games together - full series like Uncharted, God of War, The Last of Us, Witcher 3... the list is very long. If you watch movies or th shows together you may as well play these games together.

If you liked KOTOR and FF12, you might enjoy Dragon Age: Origins - great story, party system, and old-school feel. Also, Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity scratched that Avernum itch for me. Not super new, but deep stuff.
