depends on the plastic, standard GW stuff is Polystyrol (HIPS) which starts a rapid aging process above 55°C
long term stability is rated for below 70°C, deforming starts ~100°C and melting point is >200°C

100°F is ~38°C so this is going to be fine

thanks kodos.
any thought on the glue, will it break the joins?

normal plastic glue uses a solvent that "melts" the plastic and as it evaporates the plastic gets solid again
so this has no impact on the above

superglue or anything else really depends on the specific glue and composition, but for the most part anything below 50° is fine

I’ll chime in to say that years ago I left some pewter (or more likely old school lead) models in a car in southern Arizona during the a hot day in summer and the plastic slotta bases they were on deformed. Not full on melted, but warped badly enough that I had to rebase them.

‘Course that was an Arizona summer. So think 105-107F/41C air temp and significantly hotter in the car.

Cars act as ovens in the summer. I’ve got a Land Raider that looks like it took a melta hit, and that was just from being on the back shelf of my car in NY summer heat.

PVC can and does deform in the heat typical of a car in the summer sun. I've seen it happen to PVC pipe left in the back of a station wagon over a week.

I had a landraider partially melt/deform from sitting in a garage. Probably got to about 110 F in there, but I think the real culprit was the sunbeam that directly came through a small window and landed directly on the model.

I wonder if that's how the Gorkamorka bases happened. They look melted to me.

How cold does the attic get? Changes between temperatures may cause glue joints to become brittle over time. Not a huge issue, but you might noticed missing limbs when you're unboxing your minis.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?
