Hello everyone! I'm new to mini painting, and just joining DakkaDakka! I've loved Warhammer for quite some time, and my dad is a massive fan of painting 40k miniatures and I have painted a few minis with him. A year or so ago I got the Space Marine board game and I have gotten more into painting since then. I love Titus, but what I really like is the Tyranids. I love insects and bugs of all kinds and their whole vibe of quite literal biological weapons is really appealing to me. I'm pretty young and new to the hobby, so I'd love some beginner's tips for painting!

Welcome to Dakka Dakka,

Check out the painting section for some really great articles. And I am sure you know of all the great tutorials online for different styles and techniques.

Anything specific you are looking to get better at?

Painting with bases and layers mostly, as most of my painting so far has been with citadel contrast paints, except for drybrushing. Any tips for Tyranids would also be appreciated, as they're my main focus, at least for now.
