Here's my Necron Strike Force list for a tournament I'm participating in September. I know it's not at 2000pts fully, but I couldn't squeeze out anything but possibly a scarab swarm with what I have. I'm running Canoptek Court and will eventually replace some models. But for now, this is all I have built and painted. Any suggestions or advice?

ime you'd want a set of "mandatory" units and then build heavily around your detachment rule. You start off with:
1 unit of reanimator - fantastic support unit, durable and can make actions for SO
1 unit of infiltrators (flayed ones) - fantastic unit for its points used for denying other infiltrators, blocking movement and achieving SO
1 unit of deepstrikers (deathmarks/hexmark) for enemy deplyment zone SO and enemy deployment zone objective grabbing if left unchecked
1 unit of sacrificial heavy hitters (3 skorpekh destroyers + lord) for cleaning a PO
1-3 Doomsday arks - these are the MBT and nothing else comes close to their firepower in the necron arsenal. Sure when they whiff they whiff ,but most of the time the carry their weight in gold. There's a reason most necron list of every detachment use atleast 1. You can forego the arks for the cheaper stalkers especially in the canoptek court, but in other cases arks always outperform point for point the stalkers
1 cheap unit of home objective holders (5 immortals or something else, this is flexible)

Canoptek court lists should use atleast 2 fully kitted wraith squads with technomancers, include the above and fill in the rest of your list with secondary objective units and additional anti tank units and thats about it. You should beat your opponent on primaries mainly and secondaries second.

If you have time to buy/build/paint one thing before the event, I would drop Trazyn and the Scarabs, then add a third Doomstalker - they are excellent in Canoptek Court. The rest of the collection isn't optimal but it will do fine for a simple game plan:

1. All the Wraiths in 1 squad of 6 with the infiltrate Techno attached. Do not go for the first turn charge, keep the Techno back deep enough to repair your Doomstalkers and conga some Wraiths onto a nearby objective. Aggresive Wraith charges are for when you spam them, with 1 squad play defense.

2. The other Techno joins any squad you like and stays back to repair Doomstalkers. Keeping the Doomstalkers alive is your route to victory.

3. All the Lokhust Heavies in 1 squad of 3 with the command barge nearby. They are your next best shooting unit and the best target for the res orb. Treat these guys as the 4th Doomstalker.

4. Deepstrikers are held back as long as possible, only bring them in if they can score (rapid ingress onto objectives, or secondaries) or to block a lane to your Doomstalkers.

5. Everything else is disposable and pushes forwards. Maybe put one of your Overlords and Lychguard in reserve for a rapid ingress charge on a flank. Every unit you sacrifice is taking shots away from Doomstalkers, every unit that lives tries to score points.
