There are several types of army transporting solutions that involve attaching units to a metal sheet with magnets attached to the underside of the base. What do you do to each base?

I have been using 6mm x 2mm N52 disc magnets attached with green stuff and clear gorilla glue, because that's what I have and it mostly works. Today I tried using E6000 Premium glue and it's so much better. I put a dollop of glue on the bottom of the base and then gently sit the magnet on top of it. Then I press the base right side up against a sheet of paper, lining up the magnet and the table. That glue is thick enough that it takes up the gap to the plastic.

any high-strength superglue should do the job adequately. If your concern is that the magnet isn't reaching direct contact with the metal sheet, then you can look at slightly thicker magnets, a spacer (plasticard, etc.) or just use a really thick glue (hot glue?)

I use a little ball of Green Stuff as a spacer.

The GS will hold the magnet on the base without glue, but not well. Supplemental glue is needed,

I use 5x2mm magnets, probably N42. Big models get multiple ones.

I have been using this company and their base/magnet combo is fire. Bonus I don't have to worry about smaller based models trying to hang out real close because their magnets are a little off center under the base.
