The Aquilons are the Kill Team I'm building, and I already own Sly Marbo and the Valkyrie...

I was unsure of how to continue to build the army out. I haven't played IG since 5th.

On 500 points it's look great, you have AT transport, ability to relocate units using aerial extraction(virtually all your units including marbo if he in valk), good enought anti infantry capability, and marbo with his precision 2+ anti-infantry 2+ with rerolls of 1 from only the best to remove characters.

You can add krieg/cadians for actions and screening, few tanks of choice, castelan/creed if you ran cadians. Scout sentinel, some armored. Chimeras I'd you ran mechanized list. Generally I don't think something changed drastically from 5th.

My conversion issue is that my Aquilons are made up of Kasrkin torsos and legs with Aquilon Grav Chutes and Arms/Weapons.

This means I can't use Kasrkin in the list as they would be confusing... but I was wondering how to build regular Scions.

When I build to 750 and beyond, I wanted to add some Scions (as Dismounted infantry) and Sentinels.

Is it possible to build an IG force without tanks? Or is it going to be a waste of money?

(I'm not going to use Catachan ((outside of Sly)) or Krieg models... just not a huge fan of them.)

Haha, then you're in the same trap as me. Theoretically we can field sentinels, lots of sentinels, armored to hunt enemy's tanks and scout for bonus. They have regiment keyword so you can gives them orders without tank commander or Leontus + enginseers to give them invul and heal. Some FOB field guns for indirect/ heavy lascannons(but they need los and quiet fragile) and scions with plasmas/meltas to harass backfield. I like HWT but they also very squishy. And you absolutely want bullgrins they are good now. At least it's my current list But it's all theory and how it's gonna play in your local lgs/tournaments is a good question.

Also there is infantry IG list on dakka without tanks and with report so you can check and do your own conclusion

As for kasrkins your Aquilons have gravechutes, for me it's hard to misjudge who is who, and with small paintjob difference(don't know your paint scheme but something like white line on pauldrons for Aquilons gonna fix problem) you can identify them easy.
