So, my palate/palette (heh) cleanser exercise brought on by airbrushing *so* much yellow (Iyanden...) kind of grew beyond its initial scope of 500-750 points of Word Bearers (Boo! Hiss!) based around the limits of warband-based rulesets like Civil War/Litanies of Death/Squads to a little north of 1k all told, and its been a joy. I can take a modelling project with me for the week or two I'm out of town, craft away while at the partner's place, and do some small project painting when I'm home. Much fun.

I'm now curious about the larger game, and am having some difficulty sifting the online salt from the edition change and turn to you for some pointers - where is producing good (ideally written, would also appreciate audio for car journeys) content on the more tactical side of things? Is there anywhere that's published an update of the old Centurion format, for instance?

Cheers!

I've not seen much, to be honest.

Goonhammer (now Tabletop Battles) do an article each time something new releases, but they don't tend to do much beyond that, as their focus very much is on 40k.

The 30k discord is very active and has a lot of homebrewing going on, but it won't really offer articles or anything of the sort.

Currently ongoing projects:

All of my Heresy chat is in the Heresy Hammer WhatsApp group that I think you have to be a patreon to access, and the London Wargaming Guild Heresy group.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Depends on what type of content you’re looking for. Heresy players tend to be different from 40K players as we are not looking for the latest and greatest release wave.

Honest Heresy (Rob from Honest Warhammer). His more recent content is better but he still does more around Old World and AOS.
Heresy Hammer is pretty good.
Lost Legions is good as well.
2+ Tough has some good content as well.
SN has some of the best battle reports.
Winters SEO has great battle reports as well.
Bearfoot Miniatures has great battle reports and content as well.
Hopeless Heresy is a new channel that looks good. Give them a listen! https://youtu.be/O8DzRMFLM5Q?si=jyextImLNMtLe0UO
Rift Forge Studios for battle reports
