<strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"> I've played COD before to great effect with a similar list to this. Why the Ogryn unit? Well, there's nothing else in the Codex that has any CC power that also has frag grenades, and using the Sewers enables Ogryns to get into CC fast, and perhaps even take objectives. The Ogryns would work in concert wi9th the other sewer rat units as well as with the supporting exterminators. [/b]

The Hammer

Your CHQ should ditch the Sharpshooters. Not worth it unless the squad has three heavy bolters.

Usually, I'd scratch my head at the exterminators, but rolling masses of dice makes perfect sense against tons of cover saves.

I would have been inclined to use the Veterans with triple plasma and a Sergeant carrying a swagger stick as Sewer Rats - I understand that's similar to deep strike? The Sewer Rat command squad should definitely carry plasma over melta - cmon, eight shots? You know you want to. If they have a vehicle to deal with, just hope you've managed to get it facing away from them with your line lascannon, then pump that S7 goodness straight into the flank armour.

If you own a Hellhound, this is one scenario where it shines more than usual. No cover saves = roasty toasty Scouts and Fire Warriors. The Ratlings are awfully situational - quite good against Monstrous Creatures, but if you knew that a full squad of ten would be better. Either run them full strength or not at all - a whole doctrine for six "guys" is a bit of a stretch.

I have a personal dislike of AT squads having to do with the way mine and my brother's always drew a disproportionate ammount of template fire, but if CoD is using dD3/D6 hits/template, it may not be quite as bad. They are still only three ablative wounds for three lascannon, as opposed to eight or nine in an infantry squad. Devastators they are not.

Chameleoline is logical, and I accept the logic on the Ogryns. Overall a good list.

When soldiers think, it's called routing.

aNOTHER GO AT THE LIST - after a COD game this weekend where I used drop sentinels to good effect (though not great - my dice rolling was gak).
Strategems for COD: Deep strike (which worked well in the weekend), Prelim bombardment, and one other.

Note that I would only deep strike squads designed to actually do some serious damage, so the 2 Melta command squads for tank hunting, the Vet squad with 3 plasmaguns and 1 plasma pistol) and the 5 sentinels, 4 with ML and 1 with AC. The balance of the army holds a gunline and the tanks provide mobile fire support. The Ogryns use the considerable cover available in COD games to get close to the enemy to CA. I could replace the ogryns with the one hit wonders Rough riders.
