Ok file is finished. Most of the parts were correct a few I had to go back and recut. I was able to do the internal hull today. Next is cleaning up the seams. Then onto the running gear.

Nice. Once upon a time I had a set of drawings done up in AutoCad. Alas, i can't find them. From the looks of it, you cleared up the defficiency in both models/plans that had the floating drive sprocket? (The front most "wheel" . Good stuff, I do like the little updates to the design too.

Question - is your laser used for industrial applications or "household" jobs? Also, what are you making this out of?

I too am scratchbuilding a baneblade. I did the same as you using pictures from the FW books. That one page with the front, side, and top shots is invaluable! As a longtime basher of the floating front wheel I feel that I must chime in here.

I was recently corrected on a nother forum about he seemingly unattached front wheel and someone who actually owns the forgeworld model corrected me by pointing out that the wheels are all double wide with a the actual axle and connecting suspension in betwen the wheels. This makes it so that on the finished model it is almost impossible to see it, but If you look closely it's there. It's almost exactly as you've drawn except that it's sandwitched between the two wheels instead of being on the outside.

It's still not very pleasing to the eye though so it's worth fixing. I just wanted everyone to know that FW isn't completely crazy.

I guess you would call it industrial. It most common use is signage and plaques. It's 25 watts and has a working area of 18" x 24" can cut plastic, wood and other materials up to 3/8". Plus it will engrave them. Just can not cut metal.

The baneblade will be styrene and acrylic. I may cast a few parts once I make one, like the small turrets.

your laser cutter can be used to make identical track links? Sweet - making them by hand would be a nightmare

Yes! and thank goodness. I was going to use track and running gear from a 1/35 tank but it didn't match up well enough. I decide to make everything. I wasn't sure on the tracks but I did a test run and was very happen with the results. I have the base hull cut out just need time to glue it up.

Thanks for the reply. I've had some experience with CAD/CAM so you really have my interest. I'd love to know how this works out, or even if it doesn't.
