I never like the Falcon, well I never liked the Space Elfs either but I love harlies.

The falcon looks too military and too high tech for the Harlis, I'd like something a bit more fantasy-like.  Something more like a flying ship than a hovertank with air-intakes and radio ariels.

Any ideas for scratch building or converting an alternate falcon?

There was a 1/35 scale 'flying car' spaceship kit for Star Trek: Nemesis (some little pod fighter, forget the name) that was all swoopy and I thought would make a great alt-raider. It could work as an alternative Falcon as well.

Even better/more fantastic: the old Armorcast/Epicast Wave Serpents: open things with crazy sails etc. Frankly, any kit of the martian sail barge vehicles from Arthur C. Clarke's series would probably work.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

I think a (admittedly fairly massive) conversion of a DE Raider would be cool

the bfg idea of sailed spacecraft might fit well here.

it will take some modelling, but I think you coud make a scale model with sials that could rep a serpent well.

Why not conver a DE Raider and Vyper...the front of the Vyper goes on the front of the Raider very well, not to mention you can add the Falcon turret to the back of the raider if you dont like the smaller Vyper...but then it starts to get expensive and busy to look at.

Viper/Raiders look good and arent too bad as far as conversion costs go.

I was just thinking of doing something like that for my DE army.

Didn't the trial rules for Harlies have that conversion in there as the Venom?

Thanks all!

Of the options the armorcast wave serpent appeals the most.

I couldn't find any for sale with Froggle, does anyone know what they go for?

A scratchbuilt eldar ship (downscaled of course) also appeals.

Raiders are just fugly, maybe I could make something of one but I'm not inclined to try.

I think I have seen the armorcast ones go on ebay for 40 or 50. But I think they are the way to go.

I have one of the armorcast ones, it's WAY tiny compared to the falcon etc, barely as big as a vyper (although chunkier)

The Venom is fluffy and you could explain that the vehicle is not open-topped due to Eldar force fields.
