Would there be any WYSIWYG issues if I used Ork BOyz with choppas and sluggas to represent them> After all, there's nothing in their entry that says they exclusively use cultists against the Imperium- perhaps a few orks have been coerced into attacking their kin.

Would be neat for a theme army, but you might get a few odd looks for your T3 boyz.

I believe in the fluff that Orkz are pretty resistant to Chaos, mainly because they have an entirely different psyche than humans. I would guess that Khorne might appeal to some, and Nurgle might offer some interesting opportunities. Slaanesh seems too alien to the ork mindset and Tzeentch too subtle.

But we have seen that Orks can be manipulated by subtlty. I can't remember the specifics (I think it was the defence of Iyanden), but I'm sure the Eldar once engineered an Ork Waaagh to crash into a Tyranid Invasion force, to slow them down.

To me, It wouldn't really have much to do with the Gods anyway. My Legionaires say "fight for us and hold this icon and we'll give you lots of nice shiny things".

You could make the squad(s?) a mix of different types of Greenskin. 50/50 Orks and Grots. That way, you'd have a mix of fighting ability, that would 'add up' to the toughness of a human across the board.

if you've read dawn of war the alpha legon got the orks to distract the humens from them so they could get the demon prince, but i would use grots to represent the grot revoloution going agenst the waagh, seems more likly

I don't think it makes much sense. Chaos manipulating a situation so that Orks fight someone is one thing, but actually turning Orks into Cultists is a bit much. If anything the Orks are so stupid that the Chaos Marines would get sick of them and gun them down before they got into battle.

But if you could do some cool Ork cultist models models I wouldn't complain about seeing them on the table. OTOH, if you just slapped down your Ork models as proxies I might get pissy about it.

The Orks I'm using use various bits and bobs from the CSM box, eg. loincloths, daggers, mutations, plus one has a converted icon.

just rembered gw did chaos orks for demon hunteres on the us site "Chaos Orks in Daemonhunters" By Grand Warlord Adrian Wood. same basic idea although he made them for nergul also arent there muntant convershons in the Eye of Terror codex. i saw them revizeted wd 310's battle report they used ork, mutation, zombi, and catachen bitz looked prity cool. but go for the grot revoloution. ALL HAIL DA RED GOBBO!!!!!

Ah....chaos orks, I dont like the Idea at all would be allot more tougher than regular orks I think....

Just pick up some cadians or some Catachans....cultist are suppose to be undercover guys anyways right ?
