A few questions regarding what ship in the store corresponds to what ship in the rulebooks.  I'm about to start putting together lists to buy, but I don't want to get stuck with the wrong thing.

1)  Do you make Dauntless light cruisers (IN) from the regular cruiser box?

2) What class of ship is the Hellfire Daemonship (Chaos)?  ie Grand, Heavy, regular cruiser?  Is it just an upgrade pack or does it come with the same options as a regular cruiser?  Could you use the bits there to upgrade a separately bought Grand Cruiser (eg) to a daemonship, and still be able to make a regular cruiser out of the Hellfire parts?

3) Tyranids have "stalker" and "prowler" droneships listed in the store.  In the fleet list, I see "escort droneships", "vanguard droneships" and "kraken".  Which corresponds to what?

4) Is there any difference between the IN and Chaos cruisers you get in the starter box, and the ones that come in a cruiser box?

Thanks!

1) No. The Dauntless is a metal-only model, of a different size than the "main" cruisers. You ccould probably cut down a plastic cruiser and call it a Dauntless.

2) Regular cruiser; no idea how it's sold, but I'd assume it's a whole-ship kit. I assume you could upgrade a GC with the parts; I 'd have to see them to know.

3) Just pick what corresponds to what, and inform your opponent accordingly. I wouldn't know the ships by sight, and neither will most other players.

4) None; it's all the same ships.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

Thanks!

I found the Dauntless listed on the uk online store - it isn't listed on US or Canadian store sites.

Are cruisers the only ships that are plastic then? I assume the battleships are pewter...what about grand cruisers, escorts and ordnance?

Yeah, cruisers are the only plastics. Ordnance is either paper markers (my preference) or pewter. Eveything else is metal.
