I have not seen any pictures of the warwalker sprues online, and the Emperor knows that GW will not have them up on their website for months, so I took some pictures of them yesterday. The warwalker boxed set comes with two sprues to build the walker, a new eldar 60mm textured base like the one that comes with the SM dreadnaught, an eldar transfer sheet, and the windshield from the viper. Note that there are no pairs of weapons, so those of you who want to match weapons across a whole squad will be buying the eldar heavy weapons sprue, or trading bitz with someone. Thanks for the pics. For anyone looking for extra weapons the Heavy Weapons sprue won't do it without some modification, as both the design and fitting of those weapons is different. The weapons on the Warwalker sprue appear to match the weapons on the Wraithlord and Heavy Weapons Platform sprues, though. Here's a couple of comparison shots. The weapons with the round hole on the bottom are from the new Heavy Weapons sprue. The ones with the rectangular tag are from the Grav Platform: It's also worth noting that the Vyper shuriken cannon and Falcon scatter laser are different from both of the newer versions.

Thanks insaniak. Good of you to show the difference in the bitz. Shame that all the eldar weapons can not play nice together since you need more of them to have matched pairs.

Umm Insaniak? I think you are refering to the heavy weapon sprue from the wave serpent, as they are the only ones who have the hole bracket to mount them to the serpent turret. The heavy weapon platform is the same as the warwalkers. I have both and compared and they look exactly the same as each other. here is pic comparisons of the actual sprues. Platform: Warwalker: You can see for yourself that they are both identical. Thanks for the pics lasgunpacker, but I hate to be the one to tell you this, but warseer has had them for quite awhile now. But really, thanks all the same as it is the thought that counts and we need more people to share stuff like this here.

" Umm Insaniak? That's why I said 'Heavy Weapons Sprue', rather than 'Heavy Weapons Platform'... The same sprue comes with the Vyper and Falcon now as well. " The heavy weapon platform is the same as the warwalkers. " That's what I said. They're also the same as the weapons with the Wraithlord.

The Eldar Warwalker Sprues include 3 feet? (Rolf Harris fans, feel free to insert obligatory 'Jake the Peg' joke here.) One looks a little different - I presume for a pose not possible with the others?

Two feet in the flat position and one foot in the 'toes' pointing down position to show movement. I like the fact that they incuded such a variety.

They did the same with the Wraithlord. It includes 4 feet and a whole slew of hands.

The Warwalker kit goes together very nicely. Definitely dry fit the pieces first. I glued one part on backwards and had to use a lot of debonder to finally get it off without damaging it. All the pieces, however, to go together quite well, despite my ineptitude towards model building.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |
