First off, let me assure those who are following the project that the Valkyries are currently being painted, and pictures are soon coming.  In the meantime, I want to share a special treat.

Captain Nanima is the current Warmistress, in charge of coordinating and monitoring the efforts of all twelve divisions of the Valkyries, although it is currently rumored that she is unlikely to retain that position for much longer.
Nanima dissapeared for three standard years during the Habiclor Campaign, when a previously unknown xenos race frustrated efforts of the third and fifth division to destroy the fortress located at the core of the stratified planet.  The details of her dissapearance and return have never been shared with her subordinates, and while her talents at disruptive warefare are as keen as ever, whispers of changes to her personality and memories cause backs to straighten and conversations to hush whenever she passes.
Nanima weilds a mysterious artifact known as the bale-sword, whose surface is wreathed in a blue flame of unknown energies, painting firey arcs in the air as it is swung.  Nanima and her bodyguard have abandoned the beam weapons typically deployed by the Valkyries in favor of traditional bolter weapons, although she refuses to give her reasons for this unorthidox change.

As exceptionally pleased as I am with this model (Female terminators are really really difficult to pull off), the lion's share of the credit goes to doghouse, who sculpted the torso and legs in a cross-atlantic collaboration to bring about this truly unique female suit of tactical dreadnaught armor.  Props to doghouse and his truly amazing green stuff skills.  We both had a lot of fun shooting emails and ideas back and forth as the model slowly took shape.  Right now the arms are just blu-taced on so that it will be easier to paint.

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

It's the first of your miniatures I've liked, so you should know that it's really, really good.

Ironically, they do. So do cheats.

Hurray for plastic Terminators!  Now all we need are plastic Daemonhunter Termies... (and Grey Knights)

Truly excellent.  I too hope to see this painted soon.
