The range seems to be pretty limited regarding the number of different models and easy conversions. Since Im not too thrilled by the models anyways I thought about converting Wardancers from the Woodelf-range: uk.games-workshop.com/woodelves/gallery/8/

The poses seem to fit and by adding a cape and a gun here and there they might blend in well propably..

Id like to hear your oppinins and advice.

I have been working on converting dark eldar warriors to harlequins for my list.

The problem I am having is HEADS

So far, I have modeled them with dynamic poses by cutting the legs/feet up and rebuilding with green stuff. This works OK, but it's a huge pain.

The awesome thing about DE warriors is that converting a splinter rifle to a harlequin's kiss is mega easy. Green stuff a wrist band, clip the rifle in the right spots, and it looks almost perfect.

The downside like I said is th heads are way off. What I have been doing is taking the DE non-helmeted heads and shaving the faces off and remodeling the hair into mohawks or other weird dos.

When I get around to it, I'll be cutting up oval cheets of plasticard (very thin plasticard) and dipping it in boiling water to get it pliable, then making masks out of it. This may not work well but it's my current plan

I may also wait for the new harlequin models to come out. They look pretty slick, the ones in the codex anyway.

Wardancers actually look frigigng perfect. Unfortunately the weapons have to be totally redone That will require a LOT of dremel work to get right, unless you let them have CCWs and kisses

Also, you'd need to order a heck of a lot of shuriken pistol bits

I too have dark eldar warriors hoping to be converted, a photo of Longshots creations would inspire the process.

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time...

There's also the original RT-era harlies that are available now (at least through the UK they are)...

Oh, and because it hasn't been said, it is "HarleQUins". Again: Harlequins not Harlekins... :-\

Yeah, as in the bosom breathing romance novel.

...

Anyway.

The Wood Elf Scout heads with the half masks look perfect, too. Looks
like they would add variety.

I had thought of that too, they have the perfect heads for a more less theatrical looking harlequin squad
