I think Eldrad looks pretty nice - I especially like his Divination ability, as it helps with the "if I don't get first turn, my tanks could die" problem"; (as Eldar I always dread the roll to see who goes first, since I play so many tanks that I can rarely get them all out of sight).

However, I normally dislike paying over 150 point for a character and he is slightly over 200 points!  Man thats a lot.  I realize that he has a lot of other benefits -  but even with T4, two powers, is he really worth 200+ points?

Also, I am trying to figure out what unit he would hang with....  Fire Dragons?  Harlies?  They are both in transports, so limit his Psychic power use.  And I'm not using Wraithlords.

Does Eldrad have any place in a Mech Eldar list?

Thoughts please!

The best entourage I can think for eldrad in a mech list would be to use wraithgaurd. Stick him and a warlock with the wraithgaurd in a waveserpent and you have a very tough unit (very expensive to match).

Being able to redeploy some of your units can help a mech list quite well, whether you get first turn or not.
