What power besides Psychic scream do you give them?  Warp blast or Synapse?

It's Warp Blast and Psychic Scream in a choir (the Psychic Scream being the important one).


If you're paranoid about Synapse like me (especially in Escalation where both your Tyrants start off the board) I take one of the three Zoeys with Synapse and Psychic Scream (lose one Warp Blast in order to make sure you have some Synapse starting on the table in every game).

Hey Yak, is the choir option even worth taking in a godzilla list? For me, it seems like an extra gunfex works better. I have played against different Choir lists and it really hasn't affected my armies that much.

Gunfexes don't do much other than kill tanks.

Choirs drastically increase your effectiveness against most horde assault armies (anything that isn't fearless) because you can very easily break multiple squads a turn.

One heretofore unmentioned benefit of the scream is:

"What, you're force weaponing my hive tyrant? Make that test on LD6."

What armies have you used against them? Ones that are largely immune to Morale by any chance?

Because that choir effect can do some seriously crazy stuff against any non-fearless non-mechanized army.

 

the choir does absolutely amazing things vs daemon bomb armies..especially daemonette bombs when you have yer hive tyrants up front and they have to take a -5 leadership test to assault yer tyrants or not assault anythings...LOVELY

Not to mention Siren Princes. A failed psychic test at -5 and then it's Dakkafex's time to shine!

it worked well for me. I placed 4th in a recent tourney and EC daemonette bomb failed horribly.
