I have held back posting a list for the new eldar until I got atleast a basic grasp of how to handle the new codex with a few games under the belt. This is for use in COD played on a 4x4 table. This is what I have come up with to tweak. Farseer w/: singing spear, SP, Ghosthelm, runes of witnessing, spirit stones, doom, fortune 4x warlock squad on jetbikes w/: 4 singing spears, 3 destructors, 1 embolden 5x wraithgaurd 1 warlock w/: sining spear, enhance serpent w/: twin shuricannon, shuricannon upgrade, spirit stones, vectored engines, star engines 3x jetbikes 1 warlock w/: sining spear 3x jetbikes with one shuricannon 4x shining spears and exarch: skilled rider, withdraw 5x warwalkers with 2 scatterlasers 1x warwalker with scatterlaser/shuricannon 2x vibrocannons 1500 pts 33 models The farseer is attached to the wraithgaurd in serpent, alsmost explicitly to help them. The warlock jetbikes, jetbikes with shuricannon, and the shining spears travel together for a heavy charge unit. Tha warlocks split off only if there is armor on the table. Warwalkers hang back in strong firing lane to concentrate the enemy away from the fire lanes. The vibrocannons do the same as the walkers, but their threat keeps a flank strongly guarded. OR alternatively: Eldrad 4x warlock squad on jetbikes w/: 4 singing spears, 1 destructor, 1 embolden 5x wraithgaurd 1 warlock w/: sining spear, enhance serpent w/: twin shuricannon, shuricannon upgrade, spirit stones, vectored engines, star engines 3x jetbikes 1 warlock w/: sining spear 3x jetbikes with one shuricannon 4x shining spears and exarch: skilled rider, withdraw 5x warwalkers with 2 scatterlasers 1x warwalker with scatterlaser/shuricannon 1x vibrocannon 1497 points 30 models. This second list plays no differently than the first list. any thoughts?

why not take 2 units of scorpions and 1 unit of harliquins for COD (or even 3 units of harliquins)? the terrain allows one to deliver these units into HtH with minimal LOS shooty casualties. this negates one of the biggest disadvantages of the scorpions - inability to get into HtH without being shot to pieces.
while the wraithguard's t6 will provide resiliance, COD's format does not allow their guns to work to their full potential. 3s and 2s do nothing when there's adequate cover around - not to mention the use of various strategems.
the loss of the vibrocannons and wraithguard unit should allow enough points to add harlequins/scorpions. also, the lone warwalker with the shuriken-cannon should have another scatterlaser - keep the 36 inches and don't dilute.
my two cents.

It's certainly different. That being said, I've got a couple of concerns:
1) You've got a lot of points in those wraith guard and if their serpent gets smoked, they are going to move VERY slowly, especially in comparison to the rest of the army.
2) Rather low model count; 33 men with 6 light vehicles and 2 artillery platforms. Granted, the bikes would be quite durable, but if they get enough slugs thrown at them, they will bite it.
Fundamentally, I'm just not scared of anything in this list. If you replace the current HS choices and the wraithguard with 3 falcons/prisms of doom, I'd be shaking in my little space boots. At that point, it would also look like 80% of new eldar armies out there, which you may be trying to avoid.
cheers

falcons/prisms with doom?!? in COD? Sure, they'll possibly hit (provided LOS) and wound (doomed), but cover saves are still there. Moreover, it's quite difficult to score with a falcon/prism in COD.
You'll be shaking with joy as you pass all those nice cover saves.

Yes I am trying to avoid the glut of falcons. I dont want anyone shaking in their boots about this list, as it is supposed to be innocuous. The reason why the shuricannon was on the warwalker was to save points. That said, you have a point about the wraithgaurd, even though they have been working well for me in COD I imagine halries to be outstanding. Here is something more interesting I hope. Farseer w/: singing spear, SP, Ghosthelm, runes of witnessing, spirit stones, doom, fortune 4x warlock squad on jetbikes w/: 4 singing spears, 2 destructors, 1 embolden 8x harlies w/: Kiss 1 shadowseer w/: kiss 1 troupe master w/: kiss 3x jetbikes 1 warlock w/: sining spear 3x jetbikes with one shuricannon 5x shining spears and exarch: skilled rider, withdraw 6x warwalkers with 2 scatterlasers 2x vibrocannons 1498 points 39 models. not very shooty, but I think it is indeed better. The tactics wouldnt change much as the farsee can still travel with the harlies as easily (fleet of foot, oddly eldrad doesnt fleet. Must be too old), the psychic powers complimenting them even better.

any thoughts? I can't believe you play anything other than Combat Patrol on a 4x4 table.

Heh. Yeah, well since there are no game shops here anylonger, my home has to make do with the table size for now. But I mostly play combat patrol and killteam anyways, so it is usually fine. Hence why nothing larger than 1500 points at the moment.

I'd hate to play any larger than 1000pts on a 4x4 table, unless I was playing a tough cc army that is...
