ELD.26.01 -- Q: What happens when a Farseer in one Eldar army has the Runes of Witnessing and a Farseer in his opponent's Eldar army has the Runes of Warding?

Any one want to make a stab at answering this, or discussing various viewpoints?

 

Local store has a tournament on Saterday, and there are alot of eldar signed up....

The rules are incompatable, contradictory.

Check page 5 of the rulebook and you'll find that the notation "3d6" means "the sum of three dice."

It's mathematically impossible for the sum of three dice (required by runes of warding) to be the same value as the sum of two dice (required by runes of witnessing).

Since you can't apply both rules, you have to dice off or come up with a house rule or bully your opponent into accepting your opinion.
