Here is my new deathwing list for your consideration.  I'd like to maybe work in a crusader and assault squad but this list has played well for me so far.  Any ideas or comments on it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Master, with storm bolter, sword of secrets, lion helm

2x  5 man terminator squads with 2 assault cannon/power fist, one sb/pf, one sb/chain fist, one sb/pw   and furious charge.

1x 5 man terminator squad with 2 cyclone launchers, 3 pf, 1 cf, 1 pw    and tank hunters

2x dreadnaughts with twin linked lasgannons/missile launchers

2x land raiders with hunter killer missiles, smoke launchers

all at just a hair under 1850

I am sure I cant talk you out of the landraiders, but to be honest, deathwing has a rough enough time making their points back

IMO ditch the raiders, add more termies.

If you have to keep the raiders, I would make the both crusaiders. You need the shots.

Personally, I think its low on numbers, even for a deathwing army. As Hellfury said, I would drop the land raiders. Maybe keep one if you really want them, but with the points free, you could pick up 9 more terminators and 1 more dreadnaught.

With only 15 terminators on the board, I think you will quickly find yourself overwhelmingly swarmed by most enemies.

Orkses is never beated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die so it don't count as beat. If we runs for it we don't die neither, so we can always come back for anuvver go, see!

Yeah, I have not really faced a swarmy army yet.  But I've killed eldar, witch hunters, and a gimmicky all genestealer army.  My idea with the raiders was to use the twin linked lascannons to take out any AP2 stuff in the field before laying down fire with the assault cannons.  The raiders have seemed to draw alot of enemy fire from my terminators that weren't hidden.  I can do a lot of damage early in the game with all those lascannons.

I'm going to try cutting down to one land raider and adding another cyclone team.

Instead of Furious Charge, maybe you want to give your Assault Cannon Termies Tank hunters?

And if you really want to keep the land raiders, how about dropping the two dreadnoughts and the hunter killer missiles on your land raiders? That should free up some points for another assault cannon termie squad.

There you go using your ?common sense? again.

Less toys, more boys!

Lose the LRs, lose vet. abilities save tank hunter on the cyclones. Make that Master a librarian and give him an AC command squad. Alternatively, get a Chappie and give him some Assault termies to run around with. Don't forget your thunder hammer!

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
