The overall plan is to use the Shas'o and stealth suits on one flank and the firewarriors and pathfinders on the other, hopefully creating two fronts with overwhelming firepower. The regular xv8 squad and shadowsun will go on tank hunting dutie when needed, and heavy infantry hunting when not needed. I think this list may have some trouble with swarmy IG, Orks and Nids, but overall I feel its fairly well rounded.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Having a hard time editing the original post so Ill add it here. I noticed the team leader on the crisis suits after I posted and moved those points to a HW Target Lock on the Path Finder team leader.

You're gonna rely on 12 inche fusion blasters for your only tank hunting? Any Tau army requires at least 2 railguns.

Also, scrap the bodyguard, you just ruin the commanders stealth and IC abilities.

Scrap the sms on the devilfish, (the gun drones are just fine, not to mention they're free) keep only the multi-tracker/d. launcher upgrades. Get rid of bonding on the FWs, unless you have the extra points. Which you don't because again, you're missing out on railguns.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looking at my list it was abit stupid to have a crisis squad designed for 12'' tank hunting. Ill see about adding in broadsides. I wanted them originally, but thought they were abit too spendy. I do see the need though and will work them in. Just as a side request, though she is spendy, I do want to keep Shadowsun in the list. It keeps my theme.

Pennsylvania

my personal opinion you need heavy support w/ ordanance . in an 1850 game you can face an opponant w/more bodies than you have bullets.

Shadowsun is fine, although her main use is to keep everyone in check with her leadership and more of a just in case with her fusion blasters. You would honestly never wanna be that close.

Looking at the list again, you'd probably want to knock off the leaders on the FWs as you can just use the shadowsun's LD instead. Might as well, seeing as you're already paying a premium for the ability.

While broadsides are just fine, I think for composition reasons that a hammerhead would suit your presumed playstyle. Which seems to be a quick mobile mech force. Everything has the potential to move 12 inches, why not add a unit with an awesome str 10 gun who can move with the rest of the army?

The main issue I see with your army is that it lacks scoring units, and you'll notice it more as you get some games in.

Cheers.

Ive updated the list, trying to listen to the suggestions. Its abit more mechanized than I was going for, but I still like how it turned out. I know in friendly games its fine, but would it matter in an 1850 tourny if I ended up one point over? If it would be an issue, I can always drop a fusion gun on a stealth team.

I like it. It has pretty good of everything- not sure about Shadowsun, play a little with it and see. Overall, good list. I can think of some definite ways to beat this list with my own, but no list is without flaws. I would personally take the fusion blasters off the stealthsuits, but that's just me.
