also drop the Holofields and spirit stones on the prisms. they are ment to stay back... thats what thay do in my list.

5 Pathfinders cost 120pts not 95pts.

You must mean plain old Rangers.  And don't take the holo-fields off the Fire Prisms, then they will get blown up really quickly.

Yeah, but sometimes the enemy can use indirect fire or can get within 48" of you.  (it isn't a very big board).  When was the last time you took a shot in 40k from over five feet?  I use basilisks and it still doesn't happen that often for me.  Holo-field and spirit stones change a Fire Prism/ Falcon from a big landspeeder to a rock hard battle tank.  These two upgrades are seriously mandatory.

Your Farseer needs Fortune- see to it.

Your Troops squads are Rangers. Pathfinders would be 120pts per squad.

Stalker is not essential for the Scorps.

Vectored Engines would be a big help on the Serpents. Maybe even more important than the Spirit Stones. Not sure where you'd find the points, though.

I'm curious to see how the rangers would work out.

I would probably replace the harlies with 6 fire dragons. Against a competant opponent, the prisms won't get to do much shooting. They will spend the whole game shaken, which is not a bad thing as they are esentially lascannon spounges. They can ride in the falcon and bust tanks and big monsters with ease.

I would probably replace the scorps in the serpent with banshees. Since banshees don't need an exarch to kill MEQ, I wouldn't give them one. You can then spend those poinds on beefing up the squad or the farseer. Doom and guide are powers I dread playing against.

As for the seer council, I think this could be an effective unit. Could you diversify the psychic power s on the warlocks a little? Destructor is good for crowd control. Along those same lines, two or three singing spears could make this unit a formidable threat to enemy armor.

Because of the way the numbers break, 6 sniper rifles to a unit is significantly better than 5. The 5 snipers will usually cause 2 wounds, but 6 snipers have a 50/50 chance of causing either 2 or 3.

My experience using units of 6 pathfinders is that they don't do that much damage, but they get a hugely disproportionate share of attention from marine opponents, which is great because they can soak up a huge amount of firepower (except for flamers/heavy flamers, which can wipe them out with a single shot).
