On the GW site (US), has a couple teaser photos of new Dark Angels. Can't tell from the picture, but would really love to see a Dark Angels Special Character on a jetbike.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

So it looks like some special character, commander stuff, and plastic torsos in robes and tabards? That seems neat.
But the vehicle dice...blech. I'd rather cross reference or memorize a table...

The character on the top left is probably the new Master of the Ravenwing on Jetbike. He looks pretty BA... not gonna lie. I plan on picking up any new sculpts for DA characters, the codex, and any uniques they'll get. Otherwise... I've got an entire company of DAs right here. I think I'm good on marines.

I have been waiting for the vehicle dice since I heard about them. A must have for me.
I am curious what the jetbike will look like. Will it hearken back to the original, or that horrible second version? Maybe something entirely new.
|
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. |

Wow, "peaks" indeed. Why not just show us the figures? Is it me, or has GW's veil of secrecy grown excessively, annoyingly, almost paranoid opaque. We've gone from a six-month waiting period to, well, practically nothing in the way of WIP or advance preview.
Sigh. I miss the old days, when Portent would broadcast secret stuff and even WD would hazard a few "greens."

Capt K New edition means new fluff. Therefore, anyone who was bald in 3rd edition may or may not be bald in fourth edition. We'll have to wait until each new codex comes out before we know who is officially bald.

Master of the Ravenwing and Master of the Deathwing are named characters, needed to make the Ravenwing and Deathwing armies. Asmodai is not in the book anymore.

We've gone from a six-month waiting period to, well, practically nothing in the way of WIP or advance preview. I don't get/appreciate some of the delays they throw into the process. For example, with the new Tau Stealh Suits, they were available in an army deal for a month or two before they were finally available alone. Clearly they have the capacity to manufacture them. I'm not going to buy an army box I don't need, just to get 3 Stealth Suits. Please just stop with that. I also don't get why certain models, Eldar Banshees for example, are pictured in the Codex, but not yet available. If they're pictured in the Codex, that means they had time to take a model, paint it to a high standard, photograph it professionally, work that photo into a Codex, go through all the printing, etc. etc. etc. In short, they must have had the models done six months ago. But they're not releasing them yet. What's the deal with that?

Yeah, their site is aggravating.
When you get to the News section of the site, there are three image links on the bottom in the form of the Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Fantasy, and Lord of the Rings logos. Click on those and a popup window of sneakpeaks should spring up.

This according to Brimstone from Warseer. This is interesting since the names of the Masters in the past were different. I do hope that they address the change in commands like they did with the Ultramarines 2nd company in the new marine codex. Gideon was the MotRW in the 2nd and 3rd. ed codices, so I hope that they right a nice little death story...hehe. Capt K

Fallen Angel names are nothing new, in fact Belial and Sammael are named characters form at least as far back as second edition. Belial even had rules in the Storm of Vengence suplement, as he was the Commander of the 3rd company at Piscina IV. Samael is the commander of the 4th company.

Wow- that old skool commander redux has some really crisp detail! Very, very cool sculpt In other news the plastic sprue components seem to suffer from the same lack of crispness that the rest of the 4th ed marine plastics do. Is it just me or is that a poor approximation to a hooded marine's head? :p

They just wanna make sure you really REALLY want it before they let you have it. They are just trying to be, eh... how you say... douchebag.
