My commander in my nearly completed Cityfight army. Soon me and my friend Magnus (Kendoka at dakkadakka) will have a tournament so there's a lot of painting and building right now. Will certainly be more pictures soon of squads/vehicles/buildings and so on. Please comment the painting so far, and excuse me the picture is a bit dark. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r166/Rancore86/Miniatures/colonelfinished.jpg

the [img] tags don't work for this board, what you have to do is use the post editor and you'll see there's a little picture icon like you would see in MS Word or something, click that and you can put in the url to your file.. or use HTML tags for adding an image ..

That is a niiiiice Commander! I love the dust on the bottom of his coat. Well done. I am not a big fan of the skull at his feet, but that is my bias, I have just seen that skull in too many G Dub conversions.

Very nice!
I'm very impressed with the face/skin and the aforementioned weathering.

Fantastic work and lovely photograph. My problem is photography, I only have a crappy mini digital camera and can never do my minis justice (hence I never post any pics here!) If I can sort that out I might stick some up. I'm working on my Tau army right now, lots of conversions with Human allies, alternative human crisis suits, firewarrior teams, pathfinders, and a devilfish thats to be modelled around a grav tank from the Gundam universe. Have to finish them one day and post I suppose. Thanks for a really lovely photograph, I can just imagine what you would do with the Death Korp of Krieg. I keep trying to persuade myself not to buy them... not really working so well so far!

Fun that you like this fella! When so many like the weathering and it's really simpel I can give you some tips. When you at the last stage is about to drybrush your base. Pick a colour, a dusty colour, drybrush it onto base and a bit up on the model. Around the knees. I used kommando khaki with more paint at bottom and less as higher I went on the model. Then I put some schorched brown and black (to neutralize some of the red in this brown colour) into the remaining khaki. Also put some water into the colour. Try to minimize the drybrushing now. Put some of the darker colour where it seem to fit. Use very little at bottom of coat/legs and so on. When you have this more water-downed colour it will seem lite fresher mudd/dust. As I'm painting a veteran cityfight army they are all kind of dirty so I wanted the coat to be a bit "worned". I simple took some black and scorched brown, mixed it 2/3 black and 1/3 brown, then painted some straight lines where I wanted to coat to be a bit "bum". Gonna take some photos of my other stuff today. Hope you like them to!
