My freind wants to start 40k and has chosen to play world eaters. I helped him come up with this list although I play iron warriors and don't know much about how world eaters play so any help would be greatly appreciated

Personally I would free up some points and change that dread to a predator. Though most say you dont see many tanks in 500 pts games, you will see some. Also, with this list likely being the roots of another one, you will probably want to have the predator already ready to go rather than the dread.

Simply put though, I think you need some ranged anti tank. Dreads are nice if they make it, but in the event that it dies before it gets there, you have some issues to deal with.

Orkses is never beated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die so it don't count as beat. If we runs for it we don't die neither, so we can always come back for anuvver go, see!

That's an awful lot of foot sloggers. Sure, they're mean as hell, and they have saves that will keep then from getting killed in droves...but if your opponent is smart enough to keep his distance and whittle away, you'll be in trouble. Why not add some Rhinos? Or a unit of bikers?

Unless there's a solid modeling and/or fluff reason for the dread, drop it, I would say. You have lots of options that can give you firepower or increase your mobility -- all your dread does is make you even kill-i-er in combat, which you already have well covered.
