the kroot either it being tau, kroot, and or kroot mercinaries chapter aproved list.
can or can they not see and shoot through 12 inches of woods jungle terrain, do to their fieldcraft ability that says that they can see and shoot 12 inches THROUGH woods or jungle rather that the 6 inches as stated in the rule book.

also keep in mind that GW as said that faq's and codexes that have came out after the rule book (overrule) what can be said in the current rule book or codexs.
thanks.
added this:  as THROUGH    i mean a kroot model on one side a piece of woods terrain, and then a model on the other side, with the terrrain being no more than 12 inches across? i know the rule book states that no model can see through, only technically into out of or while they are in it.  the fieldcraft ability is in the new tau codex and the kroot merc, CA list. thank you

They can see through 12" of woods or jungle terrain. For all other area terrain (ie: ruins) they can only see 6".

I was under the impression that in the CA list they had Fieldcraft as well. Is that not the case?

If you're asking what I think you're asking, then no, they can't see through woods and jungle, only into and out of it. I.E., being on the opposite SIDE of any piece of area terrain from your target blocks LOS regardless of it's area at any point.

I agree with Lordhat.

Fieldcraft will allow you to see 12" into a 13+" wide piece of area terrain, but it will not allow you to see a model on the opposite side of a 1" wide piece of area terrain.
