(quoted from the organizers at PP forums)

Hi Everyone,

It's getting to be that time of year again. TempleCon 2007 is fast approaching. It will be Friday, February 16 through Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Prividence, RI. If you're anywhere near Rhode Island (come on, Pennsylvania and Virginia are close enough for a quick drive) you don't want to miss this one! Last year was an amazing weekend of WM and this year will be even better with the inclusion of HORDES too. Here's the scoop on what's going on brought to you by the friendly New England Press Gang Crew:

We have been told by the convention organizers that we will be the premier game system of the convention and don't need to stick to the pre-set events schedule blocks though you should still register through their site: TempleCon.org

Continuous
Any time we’re running events all tournament long, feel free to come down and get your game on, even if you don’t want to play in one of the tournaments or miss the registration. Here’s what we’ve got for you:

- Bring a 500 or 750 point force for any WARMACHINE or HORDES faction to play some special scenarios on custom tables. Each table will have its own scenario with special objectives and terrain rules pre-set for you and your opponent to get a great pickup game.

- Open gaming tables for pickup games.

- Demos of WARMACHINE and HORDES for anyone new to the game system and interested in learning

Noon – 6pm: High Noon Showdown

We’re kicking the action off at TempleCon 2007 with a massive WARMACHINE showdown! This convention is barely big enough to contain the powers of two warcasters at a time, let alone 4 on the same table, so come stake your claim for your faction in this ‘caster duel with a twist. High Noon Showdown is a WARMACHINE mangled metal tournament (only warcasters and warjacks allowed) featuring 750 points per side. Here’s the twist – put two warcasters in your force. That’s right, 750 points of 2 warcasters and their battle groups of warjacks. This is NOT Steamroller format, so you can only bring one list and each round will be victory by killing both warcasters or all warjacks. Sign-up starts at noon with first round starting at 1pm. The top four players in this tournament will be eligible to play in the WARMACHINE championship tournament on Sunday.

9pm – 2am: Beasts After Dark
Haven’t gotten your HORDES fix with open gaming at TempleCon yet? Not to worry, we’ve got a midnight madness event for you to get all the fury you want. This is a 500 point HORDES tournament in the Steamroller format but with some possible modifications to scenarios. Registration will start at 9pm with the first round beginning at 10pm. There will probably be some extra prizes for those brave souls who stick around through the late-night insanity. The top four players from this tournament will be qualified to play in the HORDES championship tournament on Sunday.

10am – 4pm: Full Frenzy

As a true HORDES warlock, we know that 500 points can sometimes feel like it’s not enough fury for you. Well, we have the cure for that! Full Frenzy is a 750 point HORDES tournament to see just who has what it takes to manage a 750 point warpack and beat out all the others. Registration begins at 10am, first round starts at 11am. The top four players from this event (who haven’t already qualified during Beasts After Dark) will be qualified to play in the HORDES championship tournament on Sunday.

5pm – midnight: Blood in the Snow
Who doesn’t love to see an epic battle of massive warjacks crushing troopers to bloody piles of pulp as the sunset casts the red glow of hell over the muddy snow of the battlefield? We certainly do! So we bring you Blood in the Snow – a 750 point (because epic ‘casters are cool) WARMACHINE tournament. Registration begins at 5pm and the first round will start at 6pm – eat your dinner before the tournament or pack a snack so that we can get done at a reasonable hour. The top four players (who haven’t already qualified) will be qualified to play in the WARMACHINE championship tournament on Sunday.

10am – 5pm: HORDES TempleCon 2007 Championship

This is the big dance! Over the weekend we’ve qualified the top eight HORDES players for this final showdown. The championship will be a 500 point HORDES tournament. Registration begins at 10am, first game starts at 11am, and we’ll have an overall champion three rounds later.

10am – 5pm: WARMACHINE TempleCon 2007 Championship
What better way to find a convention champion than with a truly epic clash? Over the weekend we’ve qualified the top eight players and now it’s time to find the best of the best. The championship will be a 750 point WARMACHINE tournament. Registration begins at 10am, first game at 11am, and prizes awarded three rounds later.

We (and the convention organizers) will be adding more details, pictures of terrain and prizes (we're going beyond just coin kits on some of these), and maybe even some more events as we get closer to the date so keep watching this space. Also, ask us questions here and we'll try to answer them for you and update this post.
