So if I had a terminator sgt with bionics and my terminator squad takes a wound and then fails a save, can I choose to take the wound on my sgt and then be entitled to the bionics save?

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

I want GW to make bionics always work... for everything including insta-kills and sudden death payoffs.

I don't see why not. He's got the same T and save as everyone else in the squad...

Which really is a waste since, well in CC he is the only one attacking at normal int.

I do agree though that bionics should work on everything, to illustrate the fact that the giant khornate demon took a swing at you with a club, managing only to obliterate your bionic arm.

It'd be unfortunate if you had a bionic head though...

There you go using your ?common sense? again.

well i mean, if you have a bionic head, then really you're already braindead and just a servitor.

Plus I think bionics should work with everything since you know, it is rare to find people playing who dont use power weapons...

No I think they could put a live brain inside a bionic head. Of course then the model should get a headbutt attack that doubles strength at +1I and ignores armor saves as well. If someone can model this then reward their effort.

how can bionics work with everything? If fluff wise power weapons can cut through a the toughest armour thens whats a bionic to the weapon.

If the bionics is an arm, then what difference does it being a power weapon, a titanium spork, or a string of limp spaghetti? it is removing a non-vital part of the body, so why does bionics need to be a heart or a head?

To quote a GREAT movie "It's only a flesh wound...."

I think the premise is that with bionics, it's the bionic part sacrificing itself. Say you've got a bionic arm. It just got lopped off. That might hamper your fighting a bit (though not at a level the game tracks), but at least you're not gushing blood into the dirt, and rapidly going into shock.

Also, I think Power Weapons have some limitations. It's not like they just go through everything and anything with only mild pressure. If that was the case, they'd be unstoppable. I think they're just "very, very sharp." You give one to an 8' tall, highly trained, genetically engineered superman, and he can get through armor pretty well. Not every time, but more than with other weapons. So, if you had a bionic skull, it might not stop a power weapon on its own, but it might be the difference between life and death, when a power weapon just smashed your chainsword aside, cut through your shoulderpad, and glanced off your metal head.

ok i get what your saying and in that case agree as the bionic does not stop the weapon just that the bionic gets taken out instead.

Just remember the six million dollar man! He had one bionic arm and two bionic legs. He was a total American bad ass and no one ever beat him, not even once. Bionics are the snizzle and totally off the hook IMO.
