I don't know if this has any tactical application at all.

I think, using RAW, that it's possible to skyleap squads other than swooping hawks, using Baharroth.

Skyleap states that the exarch and his unit are removed from the table, and deep strike back later.

Baharroth, as a Phoenix Lord, is an independent character, and with the disciples rule, he's not allowed to join aspect warriors other than swooping hawks.   But, this doesn't stop him from joining a unit of guardians, or wraithguard, or harlequins.

So, if I join Baharroth to a unit of wraithguard, can I skyleap them all off the table?

Is he an Exarch?

If Baharroth has the skyleap ability one must assume that he can use it. So replace the word exarch with Baharroth, otherwise he couldn't use it right?

With that being said, I think there's something written that they (phoenix lords) can only join squads of their own aspect.

Baharroth is a Phoenix Lord.

Skyleap states "exarch".

Can you D.I.G. it?

The answer is on two different pages. In the Exarch Powers section, it states that the power can only affect Autarchs and aspect warriors, and in the Disciples rule it states that Phoenix lords can only join squads of their own aspect.

Half right. The Disciples rule actually specifies that they cannot join Aspect squads that are not of thier own Aspect.

There's nothing stopping them from joining units of Guardians... just not other Aspects.

However, the Exarch power only works on Aspects, so you gain nothing anyway.
