I’m going to a 3000 point, two round tournament this weekend, and I’ve foolishly decided to take my IG. Since there are going to be super heavies and the like allowed, I’ve decided to go all infantry, thus giving me (hopefully) an edge against all those anti-tank weapons. The games will be played on 4x8 boards, and I have no clue what the terrain will look like, but I’m guessing pretty standard RTT stuff. The basic idea of this army is to present over-whelming firepower against the enemy, followed by a human wave in assault, with Rough riders to finish the job.

The total is 8 Lascannon, 12 Missile Launchers, 4 auto cannons, 7 heavy bolters, 8 flamers, 2 meltas, and 25 plasma guns (4 at BS4). There are also 4 BS4 plasma pistols. There are 260 models, and 2 LD10 bubbles.
Issues: I know I should replace the deep striking storm troopers with deep striking vets, but I don’t have either the models or the doctrines. I like the plasma battery Stormtroopers, especially against enemy deep strikers or transports.
Given a chance, I’d swap 4-8 of my missile launchers to Lascannons. Again, I’m limited by my models at hand (I don’t play 3k that often after all.) The only models I really have left are vehicles, Ogryn, and a few extra auto cannons. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.
