Arising from the cataphract tradition, Xerxis is a cruel taskmaster who forces his soldiers to drill day and night beyond exhaustion. By his orders they must master intricate formation drills and maneuvers until they can march like a single organism. Xerxis is an expert at determining the right timing for the perfect application of force that will shatter an enemy line.

The pose is a bit silly but much more dynamic than the Circle warlock. I like it.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Great weapons, and I think this is the most I've liked any of the Skorne stuff. Mind you, I like the other factions much more, but still ...

Nice paint job. Seems like a nice mini, but for some reason that i cannot quite pinpoint (perhaps pose?) it just doesnt strike me enough to say "I want that".

I mean it is a really nicely sculpted fig, looks great. But it doenst grab me. Hmmm have to see one in person I guess.

I like better than the Druid 'lock, but it's still not quite right.

I agree with Hellfury on this.  That said...I do like it.  In fact I'd say I favor it over any of the other Skorne warlocks....but it's missing something that would push it over the edge from just good to really cool.  It's something I think some of the Trollblood and Circle warlocks have, but Skorne lacks.

Yoor Speeshawl too Gawd!

It is a nice mini, he has a goofy space marine pose though.

Only now do I realize how much I prefer Pete Haines' "misprints" to Gav Thorpe's "brainfarts." :Abadabadoobaddon

Maybe that's what it is: it doesn't quite seem like a PP figure.

I like it. I like the weapons, it looks to flit seemlessly into the rest of the SKorne Line, and is much more dramatic than the Circle option. And I as a rule don't like the Skorne. Not enough to get me to pick the faction up, but a sound addition to the rest o the army.

Usually poses are the first thing that turn me off to a PP model but I actually like this one. He's using his weapon, not dancing to Saturday night fever or singing opera like so many other models new models.

What is throwing me off though is the tassle things on the right. Based on the motion of the pose they don't appear to be in the right spot. ie He's moving one way and the tassels seem to be follwing him, opposite of what would actually occur. Should be easy to fix though.

winterman: The tassles are in the right spot – he's pivoting around and into the enemy – but they're definitely too clunky to convey the right sense of motion. Damn fine figure otherwise.

What throws me off is that he seems to be hunched over, staring at the ground. If he is a Giant sized model, fine, but he seems to be a standard man-sized figure.

He is on a medium base. His pose also suggests that he just smacked the CR@P outta something beneath that huge tetsubo. Of course he is going to be somewhat hunched over, gotta put a little back into the swing.
