The biggest problem I forsee is getting completely swamped by horde armies. Should I drop the 3 Heavy dreads and go for more tac. squads? Or something else completely? Also do I have enough anti-infantry with the dreads, or should I tool out a tac squad or 2 with flamers?

Put some hv-flamers on your dreads, those will thin hoards really quick.

I always carry three magazines. One to get me to cover. One to put up a spirited defense. And one to get me to where I left my weapon.

Is it worth swapping the P Weapons on the Vet Seargents for Hvy. Flamers on the dreads? That's the onplace I can find to free up the points.

well your tac squads arn't reall big enough to surive in H-2-H to long so a vet sarge wont be of much benifit. That should free up enough points to add 3 hv-flamers and 3 more troopers or 6 hv-flamers and another trooper for your CMD. squad.

Yes, heavy flamers will net you more kills then the vet sargs. With drop pods your negating one of the biggest weakness of heavy flamers, range. I run my drop dreads all with heavy flamers.

Also, I don't know if you need 6 ven dreads, might consider droping 3 to regular dreads.

I f the vens just have assault cannons they should have tank hunter. This should give you almost all the antiarmor you need. I would suggest just regular flamers in some of your drop pods or plas.
Tank hunter makes assault cannons insane. Try it and you'll thank me later.

Played two games today,  Secure and control gamma, vs Blood Angels (got my butt handed to me, but first EVER game using pods) and Seek and Destroy  gamma Vs. I.G. Armored Company (Solid Victory for me, despite what my gut told me at the start and during the whole game).

I knew after a couple bad deployment choices that the first game against the BA was a loss, but the one vs the A.C. totally surprised my opponent and I. After victory points were added up, I won by about 240 V.P.'s! And I had only 3 (VERY BEAT UP) Dreads, All the pods, my Libby (who sustatined one wound before I could hide hime the rest of the game), and 6 S.M.'s left (2 in one squad and 4 in another). So I'm still screwed vs Horde armies, IMO, but that's an obvious weakness for this list in any configuration. Should I switch back to Bolters, and take flamers and True Grit?

(oh yeah! MVP? The Drop Pod that took out a Bassy with a Storm Bolter on it's side armor!)
