Another list for 1700! Azrael 10 Marines w/ Lascannon, PG, Vet w/ PF, Razorback w/ HB, Smk, SL 10 Marines w/ Lascannon, PG, Vet w/ PF, Razorback w/ HB, Smk, SL 10 Marines w/ Lascannon, PG, Vet w/ PF, Razorback w/ HB, Smk, SL 10 Marines w/ Lascannon, PG, Vet w/ PF, Razorback w/ HB, Smk, SL 10 Marines w/ Lascannon, PG, Vet w/ PF, Razorback w/ HB, Smk, SL (these divide into a lasplas squad and a PF squad with transport) Pred Destructor w/ AC, HB Sponsons and SB This gives me... 5 Lascannons, 5 Plasmaguns (not including Az's), 7 Heavy Bolters (5 TL), 1 AC and a bucket of Bolters, Powerfists and bodies. It has 11 scoring units.

Sounds pretty solid to me. I would consider scrapping Azrael for a cheaper Company Master to fit in the Extra Armour for the Rhinos, though. BTW, don't you have Eldar to paint? I know I do. Must...resist...buying...army deal...Good gaming!

Looks like a pain to fight. The combat squads thing is very strong, as it alows you to take what would normally be nonsensical weapons combinations and still get full use out of them. Double scoring is just gravy. Crazy. You going to convert Azrael? He looks absurdly weedy next to the new sculpts... that and his head is comically small compared to the new big headed marine models.

All I can tell you is that my mech guard would have a field day with this list, and guard is, by popular consensus, one of the weaker mechanized lists out there. My beef with your list as posted:
8 total heavy weapons
walking flamer units (with no sgt gear)
5 vehicles on the table, 3 of which are 11/11/10 APCs
6 ways to deal with tanks, 3 of which have a 6" range
I think that DA can work, but only when they have synergy. This list looks like it's trying to do shooty marines while paying for 4 extra bolters per squad.

Actually yeah... I should be painting pointy ears. And I will... I swear... just as soon as I paint 60 more Space Marines.
