This is an army im planning to bring to conflict, it is meant to be able to be balanced against all armies.

Farseer with doom and singing spear - 83 pts

6 Harlequins including a shadowseer, all with harlequins kisses - 162 pts

6 Howling Banshees including exarch with mirrorswords - 118 pts

9 Dire Avengers including exarch with additional catapult and bladestorm - 140 pts

10 Guardians with a scatter laser weapon platform - 95 pts

Falcon Grav tank with starcannon and spirit stones - 150 pts

Total - 748 pts

So what do you guys think? Is this army balanced? Anything that I should or shouldnt have? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

This is a nice design, varied, fun to play, and without too much cheeze. Not terribly competitve, though.

First off: Harlequins kick in the door, yes, but they're not very tough. In a small army, this translates to a tempting quick-to-take-out target. Plus, they have to compete for the spot in the Falcon with your other fragile Aspect Warrior unit. Lose them, even if the death they can deal is tempting.

Second: Howling Banshees < Striking Scorpions. Pretty simple. Switch these. The Scorps are adaptable in combat, able to take on heavily armored trooped with a grindstone approach or tearing a bloody swathe through light troops. Plus, if you give the Exarch infiltraite, the hard choice of who to put in the Falcon is lessened.

Dire Avengers / Guardians -- Guardians are an OK way to bulk your numbers, but drop them for two 7 + Exarch squads of DAs if you can. They're more survivable by far, can actually use their shuricats (18 rng), and with the Exarch, can survive a round or two of close combat.

Falcon -- no one can argue with the inclusion of these bad boys -- BUT one can argue with the inclusion of just one. A falcon, especially without a holofield, is a fragile beast, and if every weapon that can bead on it does, and they will...well, it's open season.

I would suggest a list more like:

Farseer
6 Fire Dragons (No Exarch)
6 Striking Scorps (Exarch)
6 - 10 DAs (Exarch)
6 - 10 DAs (No Exarch, accompany w/Farseer)
2x Falcons or 1x Falc, 1x Serpent, or 1x Falc, 1x Prisim.

Lots of good firepower and some survivable close assault elements, a couple of juicy targets to draw fire, and plenty of speed with two tanks and infiltraiting scorps.

Thoughts?

Here's a quick points out on one possible replacement:

HQ (75)
Farseer (55) with Guide (20), Shuriken Pistol & S. Spear

ELITES (96 + 155 = 251)
6 Fire Dragons (80)
Transport: Wave Serpent (90) with T-L Starcannon (35), Vectored Engines (20)

TROOPS (228)
6 Dire Avengers (72), 1 upgraded to Exarch (12) with Power Weapon, Shimmershield (15) and Defend (15)

6 Dire Avengers (72), 1 upgraded to Exarch (12) with Power Weapon, Shimmershield (15) and Defend (15)

HEAVY (195)

Falcon (195)
Falcon (115) w/Pulse Laser, Scatter Laser (15), Shuriken Cannon (10), Holofield (35) and Vectored Engines (20)

You could also drop some of the doohickeys for more troops, or drop the waveserpent for some scorps.

Thanks for the tips guys, any more would be helpful and i might post a new army list later on.

I just wanted to let you guys know that for this conflict tournament we'll be doing 3 Missions:

Cleanse - Alpha Level

Secure and Control - Alpha Level

Seek and Destroy - Gamma Level

At the tournament there is only one match where i would be able to use deepstrike and infiltrators, so i dont want to need to rely on any of them eg. shadowstrike scorps. I also want some mobility as well and i think that having 2 falcons or 1 falcon and a Serpent is a great idea.

Well thanks again guys, and any other tips would be great. Like i said before, i might put a new army list up later on and see what you guys think.

Well, heres my current army list, it took me a while to get around to posting it, but there it is:

Farseer with Doom and a Singing Spear - 83 pts

6 Striking Scorpions including an Exarch with a Scorpions claw - 123 pts

7 Dire Avengers including an Exarch with 2 catapults and bladestorm - 116 pts

6 Dire Avengers including an Exarch with 2 catapults and bladestorm - 104 pts

Wave Serpent with Scatterlasers, a shuriken cannon and vectored engines - 145 pts

Falcon - with a Starcannon and Holo-fields - 175 pts

The Farseer will accompany the 6 man Dire Avengers, and the 7 man squad will go in the wave serpent and do a fish of fury (or the eldar equivalent). The Scorpions will go in the falcon and i chose the scorpions because i want a close combat unit, but if you think that i should have fire dragons instead, just tell me.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks BrotherAdso for your help.

Looks like a strong list to me. I might look into replacing the shuricannon on the serpent with EML, and maybe switching one of the exarchs to a shimmershield-defend exarch to have a tarpit unit. Otherwise, you have a hefty dose of hard-to-kill mobility, a very survivable charge/counter unit, two squads of shooty death, and some psychic support.

You might have a hard time against high-infantry Marines and Necrons, since you don't have much high-AP power. What's your general battle plan?

I might change the scatter laser + shurikannon for a missile launcher cos i have hardly any anti tank.

Heres what i was thinking for my strategy:

One Dire Avenger squad moves up and shoots whatever, with supporting fire from the wave serpent or from the other squad of dire avengers, or both. The Falcon drives up to a nice bit of cover or anything else close to the enemy that i can hide the scorps in. The Falcon will try and blow up any tanks they have and then go for MEQs (2 Pulse laser and 2 starcannon shots). The wave serpent will try and take out tanks (E.M.L) as well if the Falcon doesnt. My Farseer will use doom on the most appropriate target and will try to destroy any tanks that come close with his singing spear (pretty risky).

Im hoping that the dire avengers will have enough power to at least weaken enemy units, and then the scorps will go in for the kill.

Do you think this will work? I havent battled with eldar much but i have a good idea of how i want this army to work. Any other suggestions?
