If you mind war a marine while a commander is on the table, do you use the commanders leadership, or the marines base leadership?

Also, by no save, does that also negate invulnerable and cover saves, or just regular saves?

The SM codex states for the Commander "Quote. If a Space Marine Commander is on the table then all other Space Marine Squads may use his leadership for Morale, Pinning or Leadership tests, but not psychic tests"

That means that if you use Mind War on a unit of Space Marines and cause it make one of those listed tests, then the test can be made using the Commanders leadership provided he is on the table and not in reserve or deepstriking etc.

Don't know what Mind War is, so, if it had modifyiers to the test then you would take those modifiers using the commanders base leadership value.

Also, when it says it ignores saves, it means the basic save.
If it said ignores saves of any kind then it would ignore basic save AND invulnrable saves aswell.

A leadership test is when you roll 2d6 and compare the sum to your leadership.  Mind war is not a leadership test. The model being attacked uses its own leadership value.

By the RAW, you get cover saves against Mind War.

Nope, Mind War isn't a Ld test. Leadership Tests are clearly defined on page 13 of the Rulebook... Mind War uses Leadership, but is a completely different action from a Leadership Test.

This isn't quite accurate either.

In the case of Mind War, it does mean armour saves, because it actually says 'armour saves'
So Invulnerable and Cover saves would still be allowed.

If it just said that it ignores 'saves' then it would ignore saves. Of all kinds.
