5 Tankbustaz 3 rokkets Truck w/ rokket launcha, rigger, and plates       118

Elites

19 Stormboyz nob/klaw                                                                                     321

Heavy

Basilisk                                                                                                                100

First turn everything goes 24 or it's maximum.  Wartracks up the middle to skreen all my trucks.  Stormboyz follow up the trucks so they can't be targeted.  Boss is for throw away or to engage a devastator type squad.  Basilisk is thier to divert shooting from the boyz.  So far I have had success with the list but don't mind feedback.  Skimmer heavy list are a problem but they are for everyone.  That's why I included tankbustaz.

I've never used the cult of speed myself, but would not use stormboyz myself. They're really cool and I'd love to use them in my foot army but they're just too pricey IMO. They're hardly worth 15 per model since they die as fast as any boy. The only way I see making them close to worth it is having Zagstruck lead them, and that means even more casualties. Thats just me though

I used to think the same but have found they are great in large mobs moving behind two trucks as screens or advancing behind cover. I create my own cover with trucks moving 24 inches as a large wall. I stop next to cover with my trucks that way if there destroyed my boyz bail out into some cover or behind the destroyed trucks for hard cover. They then don't have to worry about morale for a whole turn as there usually pinned anyway. The smaller truck mobs usually tie things up then the large mob of stromboyz come along and finish up the job. My rokket's and big shootas ar used for shooting up Tornados or heavy bolters in the opposing army. Basically my opponent has to disable all five trucks and the boss because my next turn I am in assault. The wartracks turned sideways touching give me a large blocking wall also. Half the time when thier destroyed they stay in place as blocking terrain which is good for storm boyz.

Unless you've modeled your Trukks extra big and tall, Trukks cannot block the Line of Sight to just about anything. . .even boyz standing behind a trukk can be seen over it.

Remember, you use model's eye veiw LOS when firing over vehicles, so if you can see over them you can fire.

And, of course, if you've made your trukkz extra big, you'd better have made your trakkz/buggiez even more biggerer, if you want to skreen the trukkz behind the trakkz/buggiez.

Alternately, just make the buggytrakkz more biggerer, leave the trukkz normal sized, and hide everything behind the buggytrakkz.

If you're doing that, of course, why bother buying the buggytrakkz gunz?  You don't have to, and that'd save you a nice little 30 points to spend on two more stormboyz

Skipping on the PK and the Invulnerable save kind of hurts, but at the very least you want to give him a Slugga or CCW to get the +1 attack, it's only 1 point.

Red Paint Job is worth the points on each trukk.  That extra inch is as good as a mile for setting up assaults.

I also like Rokkits on Trukk's because they're cheaper.  I put guns on there not to shoot with them but rather to keep a "weapon destroyed" result turning into immobilized.  I figure that if the Trukks are shooting something either the Boyz are disembarked already and are going to assault or the Trukks are about to die.    Besides a Trukk with Red Paint Job & a Rokkit over the Big Shoota brings the squad to 178 Points, only one more over your config.

I see the appeal of Stormboyz in a KoS list since it presents a "hoard" target that will keep up with the other stuff.  Not a bad choice.  It's debatable if you want to drop the Boyz to add Zaagstruk, but he does add a lot to the squad.

Basilisk                                                                                                                100

No Indirect Fire?  It's an AV12/10/10 Tank with a Pie Plate.  You want this sucker hidden to shoot I'd think.

And just about everyone is right on the Trukks and buggies not doing a great job of blocking LoS.  Skimmers (and speeders in particular) are awesome for seeing over buggy/trukk screens and just hosing fragile trukks & Orks hiding behind them.

Also if this is for the GT's or just a tournament in particular things will be rediculously tough on you if you come up against a Mech Tau or Mech Eldar force.  Mech Tau is particularly nasty since Smart Missiles ignore LOS and are murder on hiding trukks. Trust me I know.

Your Warboss needs a ride. Unless I'm mistaken, I'm pretty sure a Warboss in Kult of speed has to be mounted in his own trukk or 'wagon, or on a bike.

Unless by "Kult of Speed" warboss, you mean the bike one, than he's fine.

Kult of speed warboss is mounted on a bike already for 105pts. 3+ armor save turbo boosted already give me the invulnerable I need. I like to join him to some boyz right before the charge and let him go off at initiative 8 and save the nob for last with his klaw. Pretty hard to see the boyz behind trucks with boyz stacked on top of the trucks. I have converted trucks using Rhino's and Chimeras. My one original truck has a extended bed. Ones an original battle wagon. The original trucks are just to puny.
