Hi - this is my first post so please be kind!

Me list -
Farseer with spear, doom, guide rune of witnessing & spirit stones - 133pts
2 x 10 'quins with kisses & shaddowseer - 250pts each unit (500 total)
6 dragons, exarch with tank hunter & firepike - 157pts in
Falcon with skatter laser, canon upgrade, holo-fields, spirit stones, vectored engines - 220pts
7 pathfinders
10 dire avengers, exarch, defend, bladestorm & shimmershield/power weapon combo - 177pts
3 war-walkers with spirit stones, 3 skatter lasers, 2 canon, missile launcher - 180pts
total - 1499

tactics-
set up falcon on one side to draw away 1 heavy choice from my foe then line up everything else on the other side (if deploying on sides instead of quarters).
dire avengers in first rank, then 1 unit of quins, farseer then the walkers with the other unit of quins deployed as needed. obviously this may vary with experience / what i'm facing & mission.
basics are to run up to oposition & tear them apart with the quins.
used a slightly different list with an avatar instead of the farseer against a beresker army and cleared the board.

thoughts?

You have an interesting list. I think it will make many of your enemies a little frightened when they see all the rending attacks, the damn near invicible falcon and dragons, and the sheer weaponry loaded on the walkers. Here are a few suggestions I have made for changes:
Drop the Farseers doom and spirit stones.
-Doom is 18" range and since he is with your walkers he should be out of range to use it.
Drop 2 to 4 kisses on your Harlies.
-Even with your holofields they're going to take shooting cassualties before getting into assualt.
-You can bet your enemy will be making target priority checks to hit these guys instead of your DA's.
Drop the Fire Dragon Exarch.
-6 melta-gun shots within 6" and 6 melta bomb assualts are suffecient 99% of the time.
-Only take the exarch if they're foot slogging it. (Which I wouldn't suggest)
Drop vectored engines on the Falcon.
-This vehicle is incredibly resilent with just holofields and spirit stones, spend the points else where.
-May as well take two shuricannons, saves points, better AP but you have to give up one shot
Increase and split your Pathfinders into two squads of 5.
-With the points spared you could have two of these units or switch them for something entirely different.
Think about dropping some of the dire avenger exarch abilities.
-I find it difficult to fully take advatage of all these abilites so I don't bother         waisting the points.
-Popular methods of having them is ranged with the exarch with two shuricat's and bladestorm or CC with shimmershield and defend.
Maybe change all weapons on the walkers to scatter lasers.
-24 strength 6 shots are good at killing almost anything.
EXAMPLE CHANGES:
Farseer
-Guide
2x 10 Harlequins
-Shadowseer, Six Kisses
6 Fire Dragons
Falcon
2x Shuircannon, Spirit Stones, Holofields
2x 5 Pathfinders
10 Dire Avengers
-Exarch: Second Shuricat, Bladestorm
3 War Walkers
-6x Scatter Lasers
TOTAL=1386
This is just a suggestion of a few changes that leaves you 114 points to play
with. Hope this helps you and good luck playing your list.

cheers for the guidance (no pun intended)
will be trying out the list tonight. at the mo i don't have enough pathfinders for your addaptions but will see how it goes. i also like playing wisiwyg and have stuck all my walkers together . your point abouth dropping some kisses is very well made and is one i can change easily - still have to convert my 'quins to all have kisses. now i don't have to do them all! with the DA exarch with bladestorm & 2 cats do you get 2 extra shots or 1? the passage (which i don't have to hand at the mo) seems to say that with 2 cats it's the equilalent of an assault 4 cat so maybe only 1 extra with that ability. (was planning on getting the pastic DAs as am using the old metal ones at the mo.)

The problem with this army is that you need to shield the Harlies if necessary.
An enemy with Tornados or Destroyers is able to take down the Harlies easily before they reach the enemy front ranks. Therefore, I suggest two Jetbike squads, turbo-boosting, which can be placed in front of the Harlies.
Warwalkers have no place in a competiive army.
The Dire Avengers need a transport. Otherwise, they may get decimated soon (ordnance).
The Falcon costs 205 pts with scatter laser and shuricannon.

quite right as i found out last night. faced a toury winning tau force which had 2 hammerheads, 2 devil fish and 3 separate piranhas. shot the DA's up first then 1 squad of harles. the warwalkers did last but were constantly shot at so didn't get much off in the way of fire. got some back in the latter turns with the falcon, pathfinders and 3 dragons but it was too little too late. will probably drop 1 squad of harles and maybe take some d-cannon and darkreapers in place of the walkers. the board didn't have that much cover and in a city fight type game i think the 2 squads of harles would work really well, keeping out of sight unitl they can get in and do their stuff. but you have to pick a force that'll work in all weathers, not just those you want.
cheers for the comments & keep 'um coming!
