Here's another project I've been working on...a carnifex to go along with the Hive Tyrant in this thread:

As you can see, I used the same techniques on the Carnifex as I did on the Hive Tyrant.

Commentary?

How'd you mirror the gun arm for the Barbed Strangler?

It's built from the barbed strangler bit, the left-hand deathspitter arm, pinned together, and some greenstuff to fill in the gaps.

Then you cut off part of the spore sack feed tube (about a half-inch, IIRC) pin the two ends back together, and make sure the positioning is correct for the tube to mate with the strangler. Greenstuff again to fill in the gaps.

Wait for the greenstuff to dry, then file it down so the joins aren't noticable.

I love the armor... not very fond of the purplish parts, feel like they could use more work but personally I'd go with a bubilious green effect... Using too many unalike colors on a model can sometimes take away from the overall effect.

Feel like the base rocks need work, that part just looks... unfinished :-/ Still, good job on the mini, definitely looks like a lot of work went into it.

Did you use that GW rough coat spray?

i like it.although its strange because it looks a lot more hunched over than the actual kit.
Did you do anything there?

Not intentionally. ABA, maybe?
