Lurking about

I have been considering the Ripper Swarms from Forgeworld for my Tyranid force:

I really dig the actual "swarm" look of them.  Does anyone happen to have pictures of them painted?

Math sure can come in handy!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Hmm Forgeworld Rippers, has a ring of truth to it I think.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Here's a set of painted Forgeworld Rippers.  Only the one base, which is kinda sad considering I've had them for nearly a year now.

Painted Forgeworld Ripper Base "B"

There are more examples of regular rippers if you care to browse the gallery a bit.

Due to all the small but deep cavities, these are a real pain to wash the release agent and another pain to paint details that are in the recesses.  However, I think the results are worth it.

They look hungry. Very cool looking.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
