This is a reasonably naive list, as previous lists have been rather on the hard side (e.g., infiltrating daemonbomb), and this is intended to be friendlier.  Perhaps one might not consider an all-drop pod and OBEL list to be friendly, but hell, it's weaker than Chaos.  I'm somewhat at an impasse between wanting to simultaneously put more models on the board and add more plasma in to the mix.  I suspect that one of the troop squads is going to have to be sacrificed to bulk up the rest of them, but I'm already at only 50 models (counting drop pods), which is less than I like to field at 1500.

Beefing your troops up would probably be a good idea. I don't know about that terminator retinue. I'd personally scrap it for some more fire power and to add more troops. You're paying quite a bit for 2 assault cannons and 2 storm bolters and only adding 4 bodies. I could see such a retinue in a 2000 or 1850 pt list but in a 1500 you need to tone down the juicy and expensive units and stick to the basics. If you leave your troops as is you may struggle if your pods don't come down early enough. In my experience wolves don't do so well when outnumbered at the outset of cc.

The problem is SW don't really have any other viable choices for that HQ slot.  One is the no-brainer venny, the other is some manner of SW IC either alone in a drop pod or with a vastly overpriced wolf guard power armor retinue or a merely somewhat overpriced wolf guard terminator retinue.  Perhaps I'm overestimating the liability of such, but I don't fancy the odds of a footslogging IC doing too well by himself.

Well first of all drop pods list are not much easier to deal with than daemon bomb, trust me I have both a DP SW army and a khorne daemon bomb.

When you land you have to maximise the amount of damage you deal, that's why I'd take combi-plasmas(or meltas if you prefer) instead of storm bolters on the termies.

I'd also add at least 1 plasma pistol in every GH squad and maybe replace some plasmas with meltaguns, as you are quit low on antitank.

Btw try to give meltabombs to your scouts they are not that expensive and very effective.

As WarsmithDave said, it's true that a termie lord +retinue is a bit expensive for 1500 points games, and i never field mine under 1850.

You could instead take a bike mounted WGBL leading a small BC biker pack, which would leave enough points for maxing out on GH and maybe even taking another pack.

In my 1500 list I also field two Tornados which are ideal for grabbing objectives and attracting fire.
