Can any space marine army still take an emperors champion?  I thought I saw something back in the old armageddon codex that said any space marine army may field an emperors champion. Is this still true? What rules would I use for it? Would I have to buy the new B.T. codex to use him? I have the old model converted into my Raven guard scheme and I'm annoyed I have no real use for the model except as a "pissed off" Librarian.

All the 4th edition Codexes are stand alone. IIRC, only the BT are able to get an Emperor's Champion as a result.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
