If I have a squadron of Bikers with the mark of Khorne, and they blood rage would I still get to assault?  Would this count as turbo-boosting?  My friend and I discussed if I should field Chaos bikers in my W.E. army and i wasn't sure how this would work out.  I like the idea of quickly getting into assault and with the M.o.K. it would make a nice dent in a squad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I thought models with MoK don't roll for rage (IE: they don't get it) when they are on bikes?

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Correct.  If they're on bikes, they don't get the rage.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

In the rules for Blood Rage (where it tells you to roll and what happens if you roll a '1', etc). It says that models with the Mark of Khorne riding bikes do not roll for Blood Rage.

Its a great unit to take in your WE army buddy. Move up the first turn on bikes. second turn use an icon the bikes have and bring on a squad of 8 bloodletters. You can take a flank with just the berzerker bikes and the letters. If not you sure can let someone know your there.

Thats what my friends were trying to tell me but isn't that really points expensive just for that daemon bomb to work correctly. And sadly its not a guaranteed. I know its a 3+ roll for the summoning but I have a feeling that if I were to face off against Eldar or anything that uses nice high AP value, the 'Zerkers are F'd by 2nd turn. I like the Biker mini's too but I think that I'd be better off using a defiler for the points since i don't have that much shooting in this army.

Any ideas to get around the lack of shots other than the defiler and still possibly using the above mentioned daemon bomb? I already mod'd out my 2 dreads to have 2 CCW's w/ havoc launchers...thats all the real shooting i have.

Take a Predator; I know it's not choppy, but it's the only real reliable anti-tank a WE army can have. As such, it's a virtual requirement (as in, a WE FOC requires 1 HQ, 2 Troops, and 1+ Predators with TLLC).

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I've been told that before. So instead of fielding the 2 dreads more often you think i should field atleast 1 predator or more. I understand to trick him out with the mutated hull and both possessions with the lascannons, but what about havoc launchers or the destroyer? Any other upgrades? It just sucks chaos dreads arent elites like normal SM's, it really makes me think hard about what heavies i need/want.

two expensive units together is not good.

I love Preds with the mutated hull and smoke launchers. But its not a requirement.

You cant really decide between a defiler and bikes, there two seperate units made for a differant job. And they REALLY depend on what your against.

Okay but if I were to field 2 pred's would you make them all lascannons or would you make their sponsons heavy bolters?

actually they are pretty cheap with an autocannon and two sponson lascannons. With two of them, you probably wont need to move much, and you have plenty of high strength weaponry and extra shots for those pesky skimmers.

Play like a khorne player and leave the second predator at home...defiler, defiler. I dont think ive ever had a defiler killed in a game yet. I Always take indirect fire and i can ruin any squads or light vehicles day.
Or go bikes. Come on man anyone playing khorne has to keep them fluffy. Even a landraider is good because you can argue that its the only vehicle you can assault from.

Yea thats what I was thinking. Mount a squad of 8 Possessed with D.Talons, with my lord and pop them out and assault EVERYTHING. And then take the 2 ccw dreads.

Now I currently have only 5 Flesh hounds of khorne but want to get 3 more for the Holy Number. Would I be better off with Khorne Bikers or More flesh hounds?

again man that depends on the army comp. If you wanna kill marines and meq take bikes. You wanna ruin an imp gaurd players day take a bunch of hounds. Dont get me wrong bikes are nice but i do leave them at home in little games. Beasts are the same for me, in small games they are not there. Just because i believe troops, troops, troops. especially when your troops are berzerkers, you just cant put enough in rhinos and kill maim or burn. Or big beefy 20 man units cruising across the board. i never play a khorne based army without lots of troops and a good unit of bloodletters. After that i just fill in to fit the army im playing against.

By the way your Avatar rocks. I laugh every time i see it.

I'm the same, I imagine a whole unit of those orks advancing in a line with their buddies hiding behind.  It should be a special rule in the next ork codex

"Cunning disguise: Holding up life size piccies of the the enemy in front of them confuses those who wish to target the unit, only as the range closes does the deception become apparent. Unit gains infiltrate when facing the 'favored enemy', must be modelled an at least half the models"

Just the fact that the marine is waveing...lol I can see this orc sitting wit da boyz and drawing this up with crayons. Or cutting it from some recruiting add or whatnot.

In the... hmm i think second edition rules the orc would see a marine shooting it up very well and walk across the battle to shake his hand LOL tff. It was really a rule...thats great.
