The kroot will be skaven plague monks with kroot rifles for arms. Head Hunters will be night runners..... as they're not going to be using their "rifles anyway", they'll be busy fleeting. And the kroot hounds will be calvary bases filled with giant rats.

Very cool idea for using Skaven as Kroot. I assume that bases with giant rats will be much cheaper $$$ wise than the metal hound models. With that limitation removed, I would take the blood of the stalkers off the carnivore units and remove enough carnivores to take three full hound packs (20 hounds each) and give those shapers eviscerators as well. Lots and lots of infiltrating, fleeting units that have hidden chainfists should do extremely well.

there are eviscerators on the shapers, forgot to put them in so I edited it. Thanks for the advise, I originally had them at 20, but didn't like the model count

Where's the 9 Kroot/20 Hound unit with Hyperactive Nymune Organ and a Shaper with Blood of the Stalker and Surefoot Charm? You know you want a first-turn assault on Gamma +...

edit - I'd also vote for buying your mercenary band the Fast upgrade. I3 kinda nixes A2 and S4 once you're in melee.

Skaven also come 20 to a box versus 16 Kroot Carnivoers. I have a squad of 20 skaven my Kroot subcontract out to on a regular basis.
