This is my 1st Space Wolves list. It has eight scoring units and should do pretty well in most escalation games. It tries to walk the line between shooty and assaulty.

Anti-tank is not a problem for these guys. The Terminators and the Tornado will keep their distance and shoot up the enemy troops. The grey hunters and blood claws followed by the Runic Priest will advance and assault. The scouts will kill anything hiding in the backfield. This list is geared towards MEQ opponents and may or may not be able to handle Nidzillas and mobile Eldar. Russ help me against Dark Eldar!

The WGBLs are really A.cannon platforms with some counter assault capability.
The Priest provides infiltrator disruption, psychic defense, and cover for assault units.

Oops! A reread of the Space wolves book means the WGBL retinues have to drop their third assault cannon unless they increase to seven members + the WGBL ( an 8  model terminator squad).

The additional points freed up by this change has caused me to consider revising  the list.

These modifications make the army legit and adds another two scoring units and drops some wolf guard leaders. Now my opponent has to deal with four infantry squads instead of two.

Well, i am not a fan of wolf guard termies.. but that is just me. Personally, i say drop the long fangs entirely. You will have more AT luck with GH and a melta gun in a drop pod. Or a power fist armed biker. Or, or, or....

And do your best to max out on the power fists.

Here is a new version with changes in bold. Note the addition of 3x droppods for the grey hunters and terminators. The 2nd long fangs is gone and the 2nd WGBL is now an independent character. The list now has four squads in reserve, four on the board, two independent characters, and two skimmers. The total is now 58 models, two vehicles, and three pods.
