A friend of mine, after looking at the LRC, decided that it would be cool to make a list themed around them. To me, land raiders do not look very useful in general (though neither of us play marines). However, I thought about it and came up with a list that I think may work. Two Chaplains and their command squads will be placed in the LRC's and the 3 tact squads in rhinos will follow begind, attempting to use the raiders for cover.

The traits used are cleanse & purify, and take the fight to them.

not a bad list but please remove the individual points costs as its againt board and gw policy to show individual costs.
maybe try getting in a small assualt sqaud to deal with any threats as well

I'd at least look to the Crusader's Terminator carrying capacity and make one of those command squads a Terminator squad.

No need for frag grenades on squads that will be riding in LRCs - remember, they've got those frag belt-thingies. I'd say dink the frags from each squad going in an LRC, the pintle storm bolters from the LRCs, and one purity seal to get a fist in each command squad. Another idea would be to additionally drop one tactical squad down to eight marines, drop the extra bolters from the rhinos, drop the fists in the command squads down to swords, and buy furious charge for both command squads - who doesn't love rerolling 50 normal and 18 power weapon attacks at S5?

My friend runs a Black Templars army with three LRC's that have 15 man squads in each one, and contrary to what i would have thought, it does pretty dang well. One LRC usually is just begging to give up all its points, but three is hard to deal with and fairly much garauntees that some fo those giant SM assault sduads with attached caharacters are getting into HtH by turn two. the army looks cool too when all that is on the table are three giant tanks.

He deepstrikes a Dread in the back lines to take out enemy shooty units and has a speeder for objectives i believe.

but against anything but mechanized skimmer armies, it is a really tough list.
