Anyone know what would be a good model to use as my Chaos Lord on my upcoming Chaos Dragon project? I was planning on using the Galrauch model for the dragon but I'm pretty hung up on which model to use as the rider... BTW I play Undivided, so using the Slaanesh/Nurgle/Tzeentch mounted lord probably would not work,

After thinking about my options, i've pretty much gotten it to about 3 choices. 1. I can either convert/find a Lord already in a seated position and adjust him so that he'll fit properly on the chaos dragon model. 2. I can find a Lord or other model that vaguely fits the dragon, and through some mildly ambitious green-stuff work, convert it so that it looks as if the dragon's flesh is mutating to cover the legs or body of the Lord, holding him in place. Think of it as in the style of Venom from the new Spider-man 3 commercials, kinda webbed tendrel-like growths wrapped around the Lord. This is a cool idea, but I may not be able to properly pull it off 3. I can cop out and just find a model that looks right standing on the dragon and design a chain leash and collar to go on the dragon, and the Lord can just be holding the chain and doing something dynamic while standing on the dragon

Personaly I like the standing on dragon's neck version. It would not take that much GS work. And that way you could use any* model for the legs that you wanted. While you might use Galrauch the best model to use is the chaos dragon model from Forge World. The only problem with it is that it has a 195.00 pound price tag (or 383.41 USD) As for the rider. Hm...Try this: 1) Legs of Valten - Champion of Sigmar moderately converted (so he stands on the oddly shaped dragon) (99060202120) 2) Torso of a Bloodletter of Khorne slightly converted (to make it less hairy) (99119915003) 3) Head of the Wood Elf Lord with Great Weapon (9947020406601) 4) And a slightly converted Be Lakor Sword (yes it is a HUGE sword but it will look cool on the dragon) (9947020115703) So what you end up with is a realy cool chaos lord for $420.91 (USD) (And he cost a god afull ammount of points) *With a bit of converting.

I did exactly the kind of conversion your thinking of, the parts I used: Galrauch Knight of chaos Champion of khorne (on foot) the conversion itself was simple, cut the champion and knight in half and glue the top half of the champion to the bottom half of the knight, greenstuff some armour plates on the champion (as he has quite a bit of fleshy areas), gauge a bit out of the side of the dragon with a dremel so the rider doesnt seem as tho hes falling off (this takes a bit of time and you should always check where you should remove material next) and finally greenstuff a saddle and the side to make it seem as tho thats how its supposed to be. I would show you the picture of it but its on my last hard drive (which is kinda dead) and i sold the model on ebay about a year or so ago, so youll need to use your imagination. and btw, it was a tzeench lord.

Hes not that bad in points just make the dragon his steed. My other idea is to make the lord a dragon. convert him so he is a demon prince dragon.
