Ok they are the size of a baneblade nearly but I think they are "true scale" Plus in big battles they will double up as Baneblades. The Ba is for size comparisons against a normal marine.

As you can see my SW are alot bigger then normal sized marines so there preditors and rhinos are bigger to.  the rhinos are still WIP, in the picture they have no paint

Beef: UBB (or whatever) code doesn't work on DD; you have to either do HTML, or click on the nifty picture icon when you go to do a post, and add your url there.

Way too big, but cool looking.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;

Yeah challengers 1/35 scale and at £10 each so much cheaper than GW preds and baneblades to. b they are big, Lets see how I do at a tournie I will attend in a months time. My dred is big to but I will post that after the Rhinos are finished and my last squad of troops.

are you using M113s for rinos ? they might be close to landraider size (i never compared the size) but i thought i'd throw that idea out.

Is it legal to have all the guns be turrent-mounted? Just asking about the tourney.
I like them a lot, the scale makes them far more menacing and realistic. Good!

I doubt it will make much difference if they are on the turret, I will have a talk with the opponent to say that if they get a weapon destroyed result its one weapon not the whole turret.

@ Shrew, No I have scratch built rhinow from plasticard, heres a pic

Yes,  its a common trick for IG converters to put their hull mounted weapons coaxially.  If you are worried about LOS lines you can put a bit, a spot of paint (convenienetly this camo line is right where the sponson would be) etc. It also works generally for guard vehicles if they don't use sponson weapons on that particular time, as the coolness factor kicks in and people don't get a burr about it).

I think you just invented super heavy battle predators

If someone raises an issue about the size, point out that it is much more difficult to conceal them then a standard predator.  If you can see it you can kill it.

I'd love to play against these guys with my converted armored company. Challenger predators vs. king Tiger Lemans...oh my!

The home art department is sadly deficient in its photographic capability. These were taken on a cityfight board.  You can see a guard commander on top of one and a head popping out of another.  These were 1/48 scale king Tiger hulls and have the same width as a Leman (slightly longer by about 1.5 inches). A 1/36 scale would be more comparable to the challenger predator here.

Beef’s conversions are better, but you can see where I put on a coaxial weapon as well, in this case to represent the hull lascannon.

The tank fight...the tank fight!

Anyways, also cool conversion. I tend to like old school tank designs more than the new stuff they put out today, what makes it even more a compliment that i like beef's stuff so much.

P.S. Aren't there Mark I-V models out there for serious Land Raider conversions? I gonna dig Ebay...

Yes indeed and 1/36 would be more the size. Your tanks are bigger Beefy but I've got BS 4 tank ace vanqs loading for bear, and they love marines : )

Again large but good conversions for tabletop DOMINATION as the ad says. Now complete with jawa rhinos. Whats not to like.

Edit;  Beefie, you've got wolf marks on those preds. Is that a wolf pup successor chapter of some sort? While they look complete, have you thought about making an upper turrent for the lascannon/autocannon? This would be like an M-48 turrent.

Looks fine regardless, a little bit more sci-fi techie.  If you get lots of static about the size they are big enough to be converted to landraider stats. Just put some hatches on the sides and stuff-it could be like a Merkava tank with troop transport capability.

Why are so many people suprised that I can make stuff? Unfortunatly the tanks are complete. But I will remember your advice for next time.  The wolf markings are cos they are for my SW pre heresy army. even when they will eventually be used as baneblades (after the tournie) they will belong to my SW's as in the old days the legions had access to such things as baneblades.

My rhino's are complete so look out for those tommorow.  Thanks for the pics of your tanks. Your tanks are more in scale with the GW ones.  Next time I will look at the 1/48 scale ones.

Nice tanks Beef and Jfrazel. I would love to play against them for the sheer quality of work put into them.
