WHAT THE FRAK HAPPENED TO THE ENDING!?!?!?!?!

Okay. I'm better now.

I finally just finished God of War 2 and it is a great game. BUT, the ending sucked. Talk about a HUGE intro for GoW3, but no real finish for the current game.

There was alot of comparison between Halo 2's ending and GoW2's, but I never finished H2, so I have no comparison.

Anyone else played and finished GoW2? What did you think?

I gave up on waiting for big endings to fun games. The last best one
for me was Planescape Torment. Very awesome. Very sad.

The last truly great ending was Fallout. I did like the ending of Grim Fandango a lot, though.

Anyway, here's a bit of useless trivia for you.

Did you know that Fallout is based around the Greater Los Angeles area? If you look at all the places on the map (Vault 12, Vault 13, Boneyard, The Glow, etc.) they are all locals in LA. From Cal Tech to that Air Force Base to Ventura Blvd. It was really creepy to me when I first realized that.

God of War II had a fantastic "set-up" ending. Considering the tagline of the game was "The End Begins", and nearly every cutscene with Gaia hints at this game being prelude, so the end was fitting. It closed out this phase of the conflict, and set up the major finale.

Most games have no teeth. This one did. I appreciated it. That said, I played God Mode first, and recently beat Titan Mode. Makes the ending even sweeter...just getting to it.

Grim Fandango, I thought I was the only person that ever played that game. Good to see I was wrong.

Huh, I thought fallout was based on an earlier game called "wasteland" found on C64.
