I have read the mini tactic orks as writen on these forums and IMHO they are very well writen and informitive. But I have a few questions as there is no information on how and if the feral orks are ran to good effect.... like is a uge choppa at 5 pointsis worth it to nobs that cannot take power claws?  Are hunta boys ( shoota boys with a BS 3 ) suddenly worth taking becouse they hit on a 4? can you make an ubber shooty feral ork list? well here is my attepmt at a 1500 pnt uber shooty feral ork list tell me what you think.

 

Warboss 66 pnts (Uge choppa , choppa)

3 Huntas units 10 orks ( 2 rockets) 330 pnts

2 Huntas units 10 orks ( 2 big shootas) 228 pnts

1 grechen unit 18 grots slaver ( hound )  68 pnts

2 truck boys (nob with Uge choppa boy with burna) 288 pnts

1 massive squiggoth ( 3 twin big shootas and 10 shootas ) 200 pnts

2 large squiggoth ( 2 kannon and 6 shootas ) 310

My plan is to move once or maybe twice with the center force witch is everything but the truck boys they will hide intell they can assult or take objectives at the end of the game. once my force is in position shoot the hell out of everything!

well thanks for taking a look but I'm realy looking for some comments this list is going to an local RT at the end of the month and I realy would like an ork victory! green skins unight! Garbash Grim toof needs you! ( isert old ork with top hat and beard)

There's not much to say. Feral Orks are a nasty proposition. I would hate to face this sheer numbers game on the table with squiggoth support. However, I would think about something to deal better with enemy armor -- you have only Rokkits, whose limited range means long-range artillery like Russ, Basilisk, Whirlwind, Fire Prism, Dakkafex, and Railhead groups will be able to pound you with templates pretty as you please. Most Orks include a looted tank or some warbuggies with Rokkits for this purpose -- you have none. Huntas are worth it, but require more care than Slugga or Shoota boyz -- they are much more vulnerable in close combat, especially against specialist squads. Remember, they no longer have that which makes Orks truly special, basic troops with 2 attacks each.

Oh, and remember, you do NOT have access to Trukk boyz -- you have to use Junkas, who have only one base attack, and their truckk, which randomly breaks down, and the Boyz don't benefit from the "Bailin' Out" rule. This puts a major hurt on your only mobile elements.

But Squiggoths are horrendous. And their horrendousness may well overcome all other questions or weaknesses. I would consider switching their weapon loadouts, though. Keep the Kannons firing longer by putting them on the tuffer Squiggoth.

Good points BrotherAdso what if I went with a snake bite list instead with a looted Basilisk 2 real truck boy mobs and 2 hunta units dakkad out and a couple of well... Large mad boy units and a full cyboar unit with HQ on super Cyboar?

There are simply not enough ork players on the dakka Forums... Can someone suggest another forum where an ork player has more support for his/her inquiries?
