Totally out of date. Even the price has now dropped down to 60 Euro. One can easily get more information from the official website than this useless review.

Most reviewers such as this don't purchase the product, but go on the information provided by the manufacturer.
And how is the review 'totally' out of date? They still reviewed the current game or did that change as well?

Well, the question is when this reviwe was written and and when it was posted. I guess it was written quite some time ago. By now the Advanced Rulebook has come out and Rackham is sending this out for review. So.... yes the article still describes a product available, but does not review the actual state of the rules.

It was written on april 17th, 2007. (less than a week ago) So not that long ago, unless you mean in terms of technology going obsolete. But if they didnt have all of their options up to date, such as pricing, rules, etc, then I can indeed see how it is obsolete.

Obsolete in the sense that this (very cursory) review would have been useful before the game was released. Now that the game has been out for, what, 2 months? 3? there are many better, more detailed reviews. But thanks anyway, Ghaz. My reaction to the first box I saw was WTF!. The paintjobs were bad. But that box seems to have been a fluke, and everything else I've seen has been adequate. The game had no appeal for me, though. Until I was leafing through the new core rulebook and saw the Karmans. Now I must have them!

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Um.. shoot em in that big unarmoured head? I need to see these in person to make a judgment, but something seems off about the arms.
I actually kinda liked the review. It was simple and to the point. They seemed to like it even though they had some faults. It was with the base game box, which is what was reviewed. Not the advanced rules set or anything else.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. |

A perfect time to review it, since the box is going out of production soon......the arms of the Karman are like the arms of gorillas, that´s what....

The shoulder joint is what looks odd. Makes it look like the arms aren't attached proper.
So the intro box is going away? Will there be a starter set still?

Just trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Never attribute anything to malice that can be attributed to stupidity instead.
